Short barrels matter.
Seriously though, anyone that writes off a short barrel 22 Creed (people comment every time I post it) is wrong. It’s superior to a 223/556 with a 50% longer barrel in every way other than cost per round.

Today finished up a 4 day stalking and engagement course. 3 days of learning in daytime in movement and the final test was night movement followed by a daybreak kill shot.

Video is about 10’ away and the image is 30’ away. A little distance makes the world of difference in this terrain.

Is night hunting changing the future of coyote hunting? And is it having an impact on those of us who still love calling coyotes during daylight hours? On this episode of Eastmans’ Predator Pros, I sit down with Drew Schliem to tackle a topic that’s been getting a lot of attention in the predator hunting community. With thermal technology becoming more popular and night hunting continuing to grow, we ask some tough questions about what this means for the future of our sport. Are coyotes becoming harder to call during the day? Is hunting pressure changing their behavior? And where is all of this headed? Drew and I share our thoughts, experiences, and opinions on a subject that might just divide a few hunters. Whether you’re a die-hard daytime caller or spend your nights behind a thermal, this is one conversation you’re going to want to hear! Let’s get into it!
