Lady of the mist. Dreamy photo sesh on the shores of Lake Tahoe with this inspiring published author, singer songwriter, dare to go there girl.

@writeon_kim reminds me to dream big and flip the script. What if it all goes right? What if it ends up better than you could have imagined. Thanks for always inspiring me! Woman with flowing fabric in front of dreamscape lake

Favorite crusty man comment I’ve seen lately is “are they a good photographer or do they just put borders on their photos?” 🤣

First of all, I find it Highly amusing (and slightly enjoyable, if I’m being honest 👻) when people take it upon themselves to get worked up about someone else’s artistic choices… but also I’m just gonna hop up on a happy little soapbox to say: photography/design/art/literature (etc) “rules” are just guidelines, yeah? You learn em and then you break em, etc 🙂 so let us go forth and Do What We Want in our art and know that our clients are choosing us for how we treat them and how we see the world, not for how well we follow rules that are actually opinions 😘

LOVE YOUUU 😁 -P

✨ Magic ✨ happens when authentic moments, raw emotions, beautiful lighting, intentional composition & editing all clash in one session.

Jurnee had a vision in mind, she wanted mostly candid photos, and I 100% stood behind her. Kids don’t have to behave a certain way during family sessions with me. They can run around, dig holes in the ground, get dirty, pick up bugs and bring them to me, and be their wildest selves. ❤️

Some photos from my fall mini sessions last week 😍 Paige and her family wanted an extended family session, so she booked 2 back-to-back mini sessions with me. I love the outfits she and her family chose. Instead of matching, they chose a cohesive range of colours, textures and patterns. ✨

These photos remind me of my why ❤️ using my skills and talent to create beautiful images for families to enjoy now and look back on one day.

It took a lot to get here, but I’m grateful for the challenges, the insane journey of finding myself in the midst of being knee deep in navigating motherhood, and for the space and time to actually prioritize myself again ✨🫶🏻 photos by my AMAZING and super talented friend @nicolelhill_ @horizonfound at @terranearesort ☀️💕

A little reminder that sometimes you need to take a leap of faith…I would’ve never been ready in my own mind to photograph a wedding but here I am. 🥹 Thank you to Kenzie & Steven for believing in me and putting your trust in me to capture one of the best days of your lives! I will never forget it and will always be so grateful to you both! 🤍

So….how did I do y’all? I guess I finally get to use the hashtag #sarasotaweddingphotographer

I also want to shoutout all the amazing vendors that made their day so beautiful!

A dreamy little golden hour photography session on the Santa Cruz coast.

All the sun couldn’t capture the gold of this human’s soul.

Dearest friend, songstress, fashionista diva, muse.

@shbynation you a real one.

Cousins 🥰 pretty special to do a photoshoot for MY family! The girls had the greatest time planning way too many outfits and hair and poses and I got the greatest smiles by telling them to whisper the silliest words they could think of to each other. Lots of farts and butts were mentioned Obviously and fun was had by all 🥰

I would love for this session with my family to be an example of “there doesn’t have to be a plan. It will be ok.”

To be honest I got a little nervous because I hadn’t done formal photos for them before, it was later in the day than we wanted (like literally NOON in Texas in the summer), I had to wait 10 minutes for my lenses to acclimate to the humidity and everyone was melting and hungry.

We threw a chair in the middle of the backyard and played (with direction of course). That was it 🙂 and it was perfect.

Your family is enough, your home is enough, and your kids don’t need to stand still and “cheeeeese” at the camera. Actually I’d prefer that they don’t! It’ll be great. Promise 😘

tucked away beneath the willow tree ✨️💛 🌳

there's something magical in that morning light. if an evening session is too late, especially during summer when sunset is so much later, we can always switch to the morning ☀️ this session was from 9am-10am

there is something so timeless and feminine about a maternity session done in jeans. simple, undone and entirely about her.

then again, I also feel that way about a dramatic dress. this is why I love maternity sessions. you choose how you want to express yourself. there are so many beautiful ways to document this season ♡

I don’t have a favorite place. I have my favorite people…

Whenever a photographer you admire trusts you with documenting their family, it’s always such a privilege + an honor. @horizonfound told me what she wanted to remember about this season in her life + then fully gave me the reigns. But in that, she didnt hyper focus on the process, but just being present in the moment + helping her little ones feel comfortable + safe with a new person. I wish you could see the whole gallery. Their personalities just shined through. And most importantly, she can look at these + have a sense memory of this chapter in their life — messy, imperfect, but living in an answered prayer.

And if you are wanting this chapter in your life documented in photos + videos, Hi! I’m Zo’e + I’d love to chat more about it! Comment CHAPTER + I’ll send you my inquiry link 🫶🏽
