For your consideration! What an honour to be nominated for Best Photography, Comedy, for Run The Burbs season 3! It takes a village, from @andrewphung on down, to create this show. Everyone did such an incredible job in front of and behind the camera and I’m so happy to see so many of the phamily get recognized for their hard work. Congratulations!
Director @patkmills and I had a lot of fun on this Halloween episode! We did dolly zooms, split screens, referenced the opening of John Carpenter’s Halloween and more! Check out the incredible work by @ingrid_jurek and her team creating a haunted house for us to play in.
I couldn’t have done any of this without my amazing team, who are some of the best, most collaborative professionals working in Canada. I loved laughing, learning, growing and creating with you all. Thank you!
The Run The Burbs set was special for many reasons and was truly a welcoming and uplifting space. One memory that I will cherish forever is being able to have my parents visit set. The cast and crew were so warm and kind to them - it meant so much to me to get to share that with them and I was overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness that was shown to them. I am forever grateful to the team for that.
Congratulations to all the nominees, @lainieknox , @ben.lichty , @gayle_ye , and @3000hotdog. I’m inspired by the work you do and I’m so honoured to be nominated alongside you. #CanadianScreenAwards #pier21 @thecdnacademy @runtheburbs @scott.townend @neluhanda @jennicaharper @cbcgem

That’s a wrap on season 4 of Children Ruin Everything. 16 episodes in 10 weeks 😵‍💫
Couldn’t have gotten through it without such a stellar team. We laughed a lot! We cried a bit! We got it done together!! Bravo to the incredible writers, production&office team, ad’s, art dept, grip&electrics, transpo, locations, and of course camera. Everyone really gave it their all to get through a next to impossible shooting schedule full of constraints and challenges. Deep appreesh to everyone involved. Thank you for your trust and support, hard work and humour. Hope we meet again. ❤️

We often get asked what makes our workshops different. While you can certainly learn the intricacies of operating anywhere else and receive good, quality instruction, what we strive for is passing on to our students the passion and heart behind the operating, not just the technical know how.

And it doesn't stop at the end of the course.

We've built a community that will be there to support you well beyond your first workshop and throughout your career.

Sign up for one of our courses today by commenting “workshop” below.

We look forward to welcoming you to the family!

I was very lucky to work on Run The Burbs last year. My favourite episode was the Halloween episode with two timelines. While we were outside filming they needed someone to be the “clown” and create a spooky transition. I did my best. Special shout out to @alessandra_faria13 for being an absolute legend. The art department and set dec team for designing a difficult episode, @michaelthegirll and the MVPs, @andrewphung @alexamackell @cbcgem @runtheburbs

S3 E1 Photo Dump. Episode One of Season Three is streaming NOW on @cbcgem, and airing tonight (Tuesday) at 9:30pm!

“Phor Sale”, written by @scott.townend and I, and directed by @aleysay, this episode is a reintroduction to the Phams and their world. The big focus is the neighbourhood yard sale, a moral dilemma for Andrew that comes from it, and Camille dealing with the realities of her father moving in. We also get a glimpse of the kids growing up, and a hint of how that will affect the season.

I still can't quite find the words to express what a special experience and gift Sort Of has been. I am beyond grateful that I was invited to join this fantastic team of collaborators on a show that I loved watching. The heart that so strongly shines through on the screen was with us all as we made this beautiful show. The creators, producers, directors, actors and crew all lead with love and trust and I'm just so proud to be a part of this team. Congratulations to the whole team for creating this magic and thank you. Thank you to @spheremedia.tv for your support and trust! Thank you to my camera and G&E teams for all of your hard work and collaboration! A special thanks to @sortofbilal and @fab.filippo for your incredible talent, your trust, the beautiful way you lead and create and for lifting up those around you. The final 2 episodes of season 3 drop tomorrow. I'll be sharing more BTS and frame grabs soon!

Sort Of - 2021-2023

Second cast and crew appreciation post for the gemstones that made @sortof_tv 💎🩵

Some more BTS snaps from my phone, and a mix from S2/S3. This time less portrait-y, and more set overviews. Some of these were originally lighting references for later VFX, and others I just thought looked pretty. ☺️

Thank you to all these lovely people who made magic happen every deng day on set.

You can watch #SortOf on @cbcgem and @streamonmax to catch up before the series finale on Friday!

❤️💚💙🩷🩵💛

It’s a production wrap on season 3 of Run the Burbs! I ❤️ this show, I ❤️ this crew, I ❤️ this cast, I ❤️ these writers, I ❤️ our amazing directors, I ❤️ my fellow EPs and creative team, I ❤️ our team at the CBC, and I’m forever grateful that I get to do this for a living. Each day on set was a reminder of how lucky I am. I can’t thank everyone involved in this show enough. You put everything into this show and I’m forever grateful for all your hard work.

Lots (and I mean lots) of photos and videos will be coming at you soon. But I wanted to share a few personal photos from the season. Much like season 2, season 3 takes some huge comedic swings and brings the laughs and heart in a way that I’m so proud of. It’s honestly a season where we build on everything we’ve created. Bigger, better, burbs-ier!

Thank you to everyone’s who watched the show and I can’t wait for y’all to see what we got cooking for S3!
