Welcome to my Candy shop 🍭

Crazy part is the watches were just the tip of the iceberg. Given access to all the facilities, walking right up to watchmakers to see what they are working on and them stopping to share what they are doing, I can see the pride they have in their craft.

We were taken department to department, from vintage restoring, to future designing, case polishing, movement finishing, 3 hands all the way to tourbillon and minute repeaters, seeing the pantograph machines that create their signature “Tapisserie” dial first hand. Visiting the R&D building where they still manufacture some Richard Mille pieces and chancing upon Giulio Papi, one of the legends in the watchmaking world. All these were the true candies 🥰

Frosted vs Aventurine

Headed out with the missus today to try out AP’s new releases (pls see stories) . Sadly, the QPs weren’t available but still there were many bangers and we got to see some vintage pieces too. Definitely an enjoyable afternoon ☺️☕️☕️

Congrats to the missus on finally getting her 34mm frosted white gold with the crystal sand finished dial, first seen on the “John Mayer” 41mm QP.

Her schedule was totally packed for a week so I decided to collect it for her. Lo and behold, the 34mm RO is my wrist size in full links 😆 Will have a week to enjoy this one before it gets sized ✌️

Initial thoughts are that maybe due to the smaller size, I don’t find it as bling as I thought it will be. Also the wear is snug and very comfortable. Definitely made me curious to explore the frosted lineup for guys 😅😬
