Screen grabs from the latest scene we filmed for Halo & The Crow. Amazing to see Mike and Brandon acting together again after almost 13 years!

De-flickering the final shots we had to light with our headlamps.

This is one of the most down-to-the-wire things I’ve experienced while filming.

To replicate a flare, we needed remote control over the Aputure MC light strapped to a drone. Murphy’s Law.. the Sidus Link app failed us at the worst time. All other technology was malfunctioning in the cold, and drone batteries were giving us less than 50% each.

If we failed to reconnect the light, one of the most vital SFX shots would be lost.

With 6 minutes of battery left there wasn’t any time to land. The only option was to try manually resetting the Bluetooth on the MC to re-pair Sidus Link.

If @chicharon_chachi wasn’t on our team, we wouldn’t have nailed a perfect shot just as battery ran out! 🦾🎥

Tip of the Newburgh production day 7- November 6, 2022.
Filming fire under a rain machine in a remote location.

We sacrificed an @aputure.lighting MT Pro for lightning and used an MC to enhance the kerosene fire. As the night came in we couldn’t tell if the rain was simulated or real.

These amazing BTS shots were captured by Matt Pietz who was only just passing through the one day while in town.
