Fundraising for Sanitary kits with @altase3band and art exhibits at @yardbird_lb - March 13

We gathered in music & colors for a breather while setting our focus and intention to be helping out our forcibly displaced community

March 13th was the first day for our fundraiser where we had been able to collect 550$ with @altase3band and an additional 130$ from artists that have exhibited their art and attendees that have joined in or wired their donation

We have also continued our Ongoing clothing campaign with an additional 60 Kg of clothing collected in this gathering

On this first round we have utilized this fund to prepare sanitary kits including:
Shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpastes, tissues, wipes, socks, underwear, pads, panadol and cue tips

In addition to supplying shelters with detergents for surfaces and bathrooms in hope to create a sanitized and clean environment for the innocent people that have been compacted into schools and other institutes that aren’t suitable to shelter this many people for that much time.

Appreciation to the artists that participated in this exhibit and helped in raising our fund:
@artofpeace.lb , @maria.lt.art , @dovinoart , @founoonz , @curisty_

Our coming together is assisting shelters in these areas:
Aley, Hammana, Mghayre, Lessa, Kartaba, Tyre & Saida

We have partnered with @deannaansara to provide sanitary kits that have been distributed to Horsh Beirut with the assistance of @m0usssa_

Continuous gratitude to:
- our team making the connection and distribution of the kits in rural areas possible:
@doze.of.xen , @rina.mk11 , @samkutsu , @glimzi , @dovinoa , @nancyyy112

-our collaborators collecting donations and creating fruitful links:
@sitt.naila @thesaltandgrainexchange @kaleicoffee.co

-our friends and community each assisting in their own beautiful ways:
@beirutartcenter @beit.aam @frata.lb @hostel.cafe

And all the smiling faces coming together every day volunteering and spreading their positive energy 🌻

We are coming together in magical ways,
All planting seeds for a unified community
And a better tomorrow

The plan is to sip and draw🪴✏️🎨

Traditional art education often traps students in a cycle of technical rules and external validation. The methods we use
moves away from these formulaic constraints to prioritize personal expression over a grade.

By intentionally lowering our expectations and meeting the blank page exactly where we are, we transform drawing into a reachable, meditative form of play. This method integrates meditation, drawing, and journaling to help us *de-stimulate* from a fast-paced environment. As the pen moves, we record our wandering thoughts rather than blocking them, allowing the work to become an honest reflection of the person behind the pen.

This process of slowing down allows you to move past standard rubrics and discover your own *internal rules*, naturally cultivating a personal style born from genuine self-conversation.

*Play! The rules will come on their own later.*

-The artist:

I love lines—there is no other way to put it.
As a self-taught artist, I’ve found that a slow creative process isn’t a burden, but an opportunity to talk to ones self. My work centers on the precision of the line, using modified BIC pens to achieve a level of detail that mirrors an internal dialogue. These drawings become abstract mindscapes—vast, intricate spaces mapped with multiple emotions that mimic human behavior. Because a single piece of my art works can take weeks or months to complete, the work serves as a physical record of time and shifting moods. In the chaos and noise of Lebanon, this practice is my refusal to be overwhelmed; it is a dedicated space to sit, breathe, and listen to the thoughts that only emerge when we truly slow down.
