xcakesnyc presents: Ritmos De Resistencia Sunday January 19th at 236 Troutman @madtropicalny . We are raising funds to support Black trans mutual aid in Cuba ☆ 100% of ticket sales go to @redafrocubanatrans We will also be collecting items for the RACT team to bring to Cuba at the end of January.
RACT is raising $20,000 to provide essential resources for Black trans communities in Cuba recovering from hurricanes, blackouts, & economic hardship. Tickets available on resident advisor and withfriends.

Black trans Cubans.
Money raised will provide essential resources: food,
medical supplies, hygiene, and TLGB products to Black
trans siblings recovering from recent hurricanes, which have resulted in rolling blackouts and extreme food

Hi! Friends and I have organized a raffle to raise funds for families in Altadena who have lost homes, and incarcerated firefighters!

How the money will be redistributed: we will split evenly among the 5 GFMs who are the farthest away from their goal, and with the @antirecidivismcoalition fund for incarcerated firefighters. Deadline to enter is 1/22 12p ET, winners will be contacted on the 24th.

Ornamentalism, 2024

In this piece the definition of porcelain is etched into my skin using a tattoo machine, without ink.

Porcelain — a white, translucent ceramic; china.

Using the tattoo needle to cut visible injury that heals and dissapears in the weeks after, this piece considers porcelain and its legacies of being looted, collected, and appropriated as metaphor for the often invisible Asian American experiences of un-embodiment.

Ornamentalism makes visible the objectifications, racializations, and invisibilities of colonial violence.
