When we had our away day to discuss what we wanted to achieve in 2024, one thing @mrsthedough was really passionate about was expanding our community outreach programme, offering vital skills and opportunities to those who wouldn’t normally be able to access them. This is everything that we’ve achieved since, often with the support of many other organisations. It’s all mainly happened in the background, because we can’t share photos and details. But it’s become a really lovely core component of the Eat Well mission—providing access to wonderful food for all.

Crazy to think 30 YEAR'S AGO this month was the first time I represented Ireland on international duty ! @irishsurfingassociation
Where did 30 Years go 😬

From memory there were only 4 Ulster men on the team and all are still riding waves to this day !

The event was the European Junior Surfing Championships in Newquay, Cornwall. Held at North Fistral Beach and the full week from memory it rained and was never under 5-6ft onshore and pretty heavy.

I have kept almost all of my team gears from many Irish Team trips around the world but this one is a classic and I'm not sure if many of my old team mates still have this. I couldn't part with it.

I have some retro, stylish, baggy, skinny, trippy, stunning and hideous things from trips like Brazil, Ecuador, Portugal, California and more but this one is just my pride and joy.

And yes, the Irish Team DID get some looks turning up in ' England '( Kernow ) wearing these 🤐

Some great memories and times 🙏

BONE-IN SHORT RIB BURGER by THE SMOKING COAL X BURGERISM

In the world of burgers, there are those that stand out, and then there are those that redefine the genre. The bone-in short rib burger collab between @thesmokingcoal (from the team behind @hotbuttered.co ) and @burgerism is the latter.

“A monumental burger experience“ - said someone out there that was lucky enough to try it first 👀

The magic begins with 8-hour smoked Highland beef short rib with stout and onion glaze. Next, they’re seared on the wood grill, basted with a lustrous sauce, mustard, pickle brine, and black treacle.

Nestled in a Burgerism bun, with their signature sauce, crisp salad, and American cheese, topped with a fancy deep fried-smoked oxtail (smoked for a day then braised for a day in stout and onion) mac & cheese patty.

The grande finale involves the theatrical removal of the bone 🍖

Availability is limited to 50 masterpieces this Sunday. Get down early and your chances of getting your hands on one of these is higher.

The Spring Summer Series also this Sunday brings us Huey Morgan with sounds of his BBC 6 Music show, from disco to hip hop to salsa, soul y mucho más.

Doors open 12PM.

Tickets are free but limited, so grab yours via the link in our bio 🔗
Walk-ups & Walk-ins are welcome.
