The yard has always been a studio. 🎬

Busted.
Written by Brandolyn Love.
Directed by Douglas Martin.

Early 2000s. Both of them. On the yard. Right next to you in class. Before YouTube. Before TikTok. Before content creation was a career. HBCU students were already writing scripts, casting classmates, and directing original productions on campus.

HBCUs have always been ecosystems. The writer sitting next to you in English Lit. The director in your study group. The producer in the dining hall. The best and brightest weren't somewhere else waiting to be discovered they were already there, already building, already creating on campuses across this nation.

We go to school with greatness and sometimes don't recognize it until the credits roll years later.

Brandolyn Love put the words on the page. Douglas Martin brought the vision to life. The yard made it possible in 2004.

That ecosystem never left. It's on every campus right now.

Who on your yard is building something the world needs to see? 🏛️

Summer 2022, you were full of fun, adventure, and the unexpected. ☀️

From Michigan to Pennsylvania to a lake house, to Wings of Eagles Ranch, to the Great Smoky Mountains, to Wrightsville beach, to Football games, birthday parties, hangin’ with friends, to a camper disaster 🤪, to cute downtowns—the Olafsson crew lived it up!

Now, let’s embark on a new school year! 🍎✏️
