2950. “You couldn’t pay me enough money to do that, I’m serious.” About 10 years ago, Tamara Rucker worked in the morgue of a hospital for 3 years. She came across several grotesque sights during her time there; however, she explained she’d never be able to work in a funeral home because it’s just too eerie of an environment. Originally from Upper Manhattan, Tamara started her adult life by obtaining her associate’s degree in Human Resources, but she never worked in the field. Instead, she acted as a stay at home mom for a bit, taking care of her now 21 and 17 year old daughters, and also worked jobs at places like the morgue, @ups and @radiocitymusichall. As a kid, she wanted to become an actress, but as she got older, she became more of a fan of the arts rather than a performer. This Sunday, she’ll actually be seeing @aladdin in the city with her sister! She also fell in love with activities like cooking and now makes a mean pineapple chicken dish with a secret glaze, the recipe for which she’ll be keeping in the family. Tamara is always up for learning new skills too, though, and therefore plans to learn how to ski this winter in New Hampshire. She also plans to do new things professionally and, wanting to positively impact the world, hopes to start an organization in the near future geared on helping teens through suicide prevention! So nice to meet you, @hottoddy40! #10kfriends #nyc #wholefoods #morgue #mother #ups #aladdin #cooking #pineapplechicken #skiing #suicideprevention #meetingpeople
