$💫 Somehow me and AUMP are still out here doing this thanks to all of you and your support. I’ve got another ask though… For the month of November, I’ll be bringing the Anti-Uranium Mapping Project (AUMP) to Gallup, New Mexico, for an exhibition sharing stories of uranium mining, its impacts on Indigenous communities, and the ongoing work to protect our lands and waters. Through photography, oral histories, archival research, and Counter-Mapping, AUMP breaks down the fractured histories of environmental injustice into separate, manageable pieces, making the information more accessible while supporting Indigenous-led education, advocacy, and community knowledge-sharing. Bringing this work into physical spaces creates opportunities for people to engage with these histories, connect them to what is happening today, and consider how we can build stronger systems of protection for our communities. I’ve received funding to support a portion of my time and labor on this project and now I am raising additional funds to help cover the practical costs of installing the exhibition in Gallup, including transportation, accommodations, installation assistance, wall text and exhibition materials, and deinstallation at the end of the month. Funds raised will help cover: $800—Installation Labor (2 assistants, 2 days) $400—Deinstallation Labor (1 assistants, 1 days) $400—Car Rental and Gas x 4 Days $780—Lodging ( 2 rooms x 3 nights) $225—Printing (maps, wall text, flyers) $150—Installation Day Meals $250 —Opening Day Food and Beverage $445—Contingency TOTAL: $3,500 If you’re able to contribute, any amount will help make this exhibition possible. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with someone who might be interested is just as appreciated. Thank you everyone for supporting AUMP and the continued work of archiving and documenting these histories, making knowledge accessible, and creating more opportunities for Indigenous communities to share their stories on their own terms. 📅 Exhibition opening: November 6 or 7, 2026 (date to be confirmed) 📍Location: Art123, 123 W Coal Ave, Gallup, NM 87301 🔗 in bio ⬆️$
