There’s something really special about getting to capture these moments and the people behind them.

A space created for actors and actresses to share their work, express themselves creatively and simply act for the love of it.

A little slice of London nightlife where people come together, connect, share stories and celebrate creativity.

This is exactly why I love shooting events. I always walk away feeling inspired, having learnt something new and met people I might never have crossed paths with otherwise.

Thank you, Restricted View, for having me and reminding me why I love what I do.

House Objets Presents Arcadia ~

Arcadia brings together the work of Marleigh Belsley, Olivia DiMichele, JJ Hellerman, Jessica Rose Jackson, and J. Mina across video, sculpture, textile, painting, photography, and design.

Taking Arcadia as an imagined elsewhere, the exhibition examines how idealized visions of place and experience are shaped by the technologies through which they are represented. Through questions of mediation, perception, and desire, the works consider how our ideas of paradise are continually constructed, translated, and reshaped by the conditions of the present.

Oct 14 | S*x & Technology Exhibition

The theme: how modern relationships change in conversation "through", "via" and "with" digital technology.

The food experience was designed to bring the way we form "cold" connections online into a live environment.

Each box held one of those connections. Chosen by an image. Chosen by a prompt. Chosen by the phrase someone decided to show you.

More exhibition openings coming soon on our platform. Limited places.

See you soon 🖤

IMPROMPTU FILM CLUB + performances this Thursday

Phase Film Club comes to Galleria Objets @galleriaobjets this Thursday 22 October for an evening of cinema, readings and live performances… Around first loves, winding roads, freedom and longing

We’re screening Nobuhiko Obayashi’s His Motorbike, Her Island (1986), adapted from a novel by Yoshio Kataoka: a dreamlike exploration of romance, youth, freedom and danger. Moving between black and white and colour, city streets and island landscapes, the film slips between memory and fantasy, capturing the restless feeling of being young and free and the nostalgia of first loves

Alongside the screening, London-based writer, curator and filmmaker Kevin Omosele @omoselekevin has curated readings and music from:

Shannon S Meekings @shannon.s.meekings
Rose Marie Valentina @rosemarievalentinaa
Janice Chan @janxchan
Sophia Georghiou @sophia.georghiou
Mary Morgan @msmarymorgan
Za Lahai @sbconscious

With improvised flute from Anton Svetlichnyi @switlichoke with Debussy-like textures and Japanese musical influences

And a performance by Kairi Tokoro @kairitokoro a Japanese artist based in London whose practice moves between sound, sculpture and performance, exploring the rhythms and relationships between bodies and materials

For the evening, we’ll settle into Galleria Objets’ intimate brick-walled space on Brick Lane, with rugs, soft seating and free popcorn!

Bring a pillow or cushion if you can, we’re making the space cosy; Floor seating will be part of the setup, so please message us if you need a chair

I am currently part of an exhibition highlighting how sexuality evolves with the emergence of new technologies. It is a topic I care deeply about and find that there are a lot of different angles you can approach this topic from. I am showcasing a short film documenting a VR piece I made three years ago that highlights escapism and hyper-sexualization within virtual spaces along with a small sculptural piece that ties into the film.

The show is on until tomorrow on Bricklane at @galleriaobjets / @house.objets !!

On the 9th of November, we’ll be at @house.objets on Brick Lane for a specially curated winter Lab, on the theme ‘The Magical and The Grotesque.’

Showcasing a combination of pieces in development, as always these events are an evening designed to give writers, performers and directors a platform to showcase new work.

The lineup for this event has been finalised! Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming events.

Doors will open at 7PM with the show starting from 7:30PM. Tickets available in our bio!

✨

About our Scratch Nights:

- As an audience member, scratch nights are a chance for you to see new exciting work, to meet the artists and share your feedback!

- For artists, they’re an accessible way to try out extracts of new work on stage, with the opportunity to get feedback from an audience.
These extracts will be from pieces at various stages of development.

Our scratch nights are an opportunity to network and develop new creative relationships, as we match writers, directors and performers together!
