Welcome to Amsterdam!

Buongiorno vita, buongiorno Europa ❤

I could get used to this. The slow rocking, soaking in a warm bath of water while floating in a big tin on water, swans greeting you at the window, waking up next to the softest human, the tapping of rain hitting the roof. It’s these small little things that “float my boat” 🦢 If you ever come to visit this beautiful city, stay on a houseboat.

Jij maakt me gelukkig! 😍

Anyone else have a bathtub, but rarely use it? 🛁

I’ve been insanely lucky with all of my apartments in New York so far and have always had a bath tub.

I always felt bad that I didn’t use it enough, until this year—my TCM doctor actually recommended I take more baths for some of the things we’re working on, and was the extra push I needed to build the habit.

So, in case anyone else needs some encouragement to get in the tub, here are some scientifically proven bath benefits:

⊹ great for muscle recovery, joints & bones
⊹ increases blood flow, supports healthy circulation and in turn, detoxification
⊹ improves sleep quality & mood
⊹ soothes the soul - this is an empirical finding 😉

I’m coming to you live from the bathtub right now, and getting back to the holiday cookies in a pinch! Can we normalize middle-of-the-day baths too? 😂
