POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This might sting a little…

BUT

I promise it’s for your own good…

1. Waiting until you “lose the baby weight” is the fastest way to have zero photos from this season. Listen, I get it, I’m in it and living it, but your babies don’t see your postpartum body…they just see their entire world.

2. The perfectly curated nursery you see on Tik Tok and Pinterest isn’t reality and shouldn’t be. Close the door and fuhgeddaboudit. Chances are you’re surviving on a bedside bassinet and burp cloths anyway. Let’s document it so we never forget the beautifully intricate depths of our postpartum era.

3. If your photographer never gently fixes your flyaways, asks to bring you coffee before the session, or knows what that postpartum daze feels like….I promise you’re not getting the full experience. It’s so rare to feel seen, heard, and understood in this chapter. Being so raw in front of the camera doesn’t feel easy, but find someone who makes it that way.

4. The chaos you’re worried about ruining the session? It’s usually where the magic is. I can’t tell you how many parents ask me “what can we do to prepare the baby for the session?”. When you’re in pure survival mode all I want you to do is be home when I get there- I got the rest baby girl!!!

5. (And this one’s a tough one)
One day these photos will outlive your excuses…oof aand your kids will be the ones holding the photographs looking for you in them. Be there.

Respectfully…

Take the photo. Even when you feel puffy, tired, and one dry shampoo away from the edge. 🤍

“Sit with the winners. The conversation is different.” 💫

Chatting with some of the leading ladies in the business-owning world this morning @nikkiestephenstudio is always one of my favorite parts of the month! Sharing ideas, successes, struggles, and lifting each other up through it all.

Ok, so we didn’t “style” it, it was a full #laundryroom reno. But our laundry room #refresh is done! 🎉 I already moved on to our next project but may revisit this space to actually style it!

PS: do you know the #cabinets in our laundry room are a @homedepot instock #cabinet #hack? We turned these basic instock #cabinets into inset cabinets by framing them and adding chunky #moulding

See how we transformed this room in our “laundry” highlight: @house_three_

This is my daughter’s room. Partial #designed. It was the first room we #remodeled *over a year ago*. I haven’t finished #decorating it.

Turns out having table lamps in a toddler’s room is not practical. I removed everything that was within reach and breakable. Instead of rushing to find an alternative, I decided to live in this phase.

One day we’ll have table lamps. But for now
we’ll enjoy our play sessions without worrying about breaking this.
