POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I GOT UP TO SAY THIS OPENING FOR THE BOOK LAUNCH … and couldn’t speak..

“My name is Rochelle Evrard and I am a proud mother of 2… M M M Mil Mil….” I couldn’t say her name.

I’ve spoken Milli’s name a million times and I couldn’t do it.

When we arrived at the event, I pulled into the car park and the first person I saw was my friend and co author @jessica.joy.adventures - I said my sister “I’m gonna cry already” but I didn’t.

Jess lost her son Josiah 18 months after we lost Milli, and while I was pregnant with Huey. Josiah was 48 days old.

Losing your baby is one thing. Watching your friend go through it after you is another.

More guests arrived and I was busy making sure we were all set up and ready.

Then my friends @emhmltn & @ricogeometry arrived - they lost their sweet boy Kit not even months ago. I cried.

Then pulled myself together. I should have just let myself cry harder.

Our MC @laurenmareecelebrant opened the event with the most heartfelt words…

And so when I got up, did my initial opening, setting expectations (or lack there of) setting the scene of a safe space, allowing people to come and go from the room if they need.

Our gorg MC kept handing me my phone, encouraging me to keep going. I turned and saw my @inspiredbywinnie weighted Milli doll behind me, I grabbed her and said “come on girlfriend we got this” and held her as I spoke the words captioned in this reel.

She got me through. 👼🏻🫶🏼🩷 my girl, my strength.

In addition to the thank you’s in this reel I want to add
@printerhq donated our authors sign with all our pics around our book

@wombspace.au for our divine bereavement cards

To @candlexchange for donating 50 candles 🕯️ allowing us to do what was probably my favourite part of the day. Our candle lighting ceremony - we lit candles in honour of our authors who couldn’t attend, our babies & then inviting guests up to light a baby they were there to remember. Seeing all our babies names, candles lit, in the sand together = POWERFUL 😭 🔥👼🏻

Still on a high from such a stunning day.

I AM ACTUALLY LOST FOR WORDS AT HOW TODAY UNFOLDED 😭

My beautiful friend @bethmele_ , the incredibly talented woman behind the camera and creator of @houseof.figs_ captured this day so perfectly. Watching this back has left me completely speechless.

Seamlessly MC’d by the one and only @laurenmareecelebrant you’re such a special person and we’re so incredibly grateful for you!

Today was filled with the bravest people I know.
I am so incredibly grateful for all our authors and guests to trust me in this space created to fully feel safe.

Mothers sharing the stories of their babies.
Fathers feeling safe enough to cry and grieve.
Parents speaking from the deepest parts of their hearts.
An audience lighting candles in honour of the babies gone far too soon.
Wisdom shared. Hope restored. Love that continues beyond the heartbeat.

A room full of people connected by one shared understanding: that the loss of a child never leaves you. Time doesn’t erase that kind of grief. A word, a song, a scent, or a single moment can take you right back to the day your world changed.

When I started @littlelifebigloss.podcast, I never imagined it would become what it is today. Hearing people say, “You were the first person I found after my loss,” or, “I still go back and listen to your episodes because they make me feel less alone,” is something I will never take for granted.

Today was so much more than a book launch.

It was a chance to remember.
To educate.
To cry together.
To hold space for one another.
To honour our babies.
To remind grieving parents that they are seen, heard, and never alone.

To every single person who came today, shared your heart, lit a candle, shed a tear, bought a book, hugged a stranger, or simply sat with us—thank you.

My heart is so incredibly full. 🤍
