God really knew what He was doing when He led me to you.

But He didn’t hand you to the man I used to be.

We went through the fire together, Beth.

We separated, and for a while I wasn’t sure we’d find our way back.

That season broke the parts of me that weren’t ready to be your husband.

I had to own everything.

I had to stop blaming the noise and start leading.

I had to let men into my life who would call me out when I didn’t want to hear it.

I had to learn to choose you every single day, not just when it was easy.

Every hard conversation shaped me.

Every setback taught me something about love I couldn’t have learned any other way.

You stayed in the fight while I became the man you needed.

Now I get to fall asleep next to my wife and my daughter every night.

None of that happened by accident.

He was building me the whole time, and He was using you to do it.

I’m still becoming him, and I’ll keep choosing you while I do.

An autumn afternoon on Mt Tamborine. 🍂 Haley + Michael’s intimate wedding was such a privilege to be apart of!

I feel like there’s a quiet magic to these black and white images - it strips away the noise and leaves the pure emotion of each moment.

Huge thanks to the absolute dream team of vendors who made this day seamless!
