BERLIN, HOW ARE YOU RECOVERING FROM THIS BIRTHING?

Because every single one of you was an essential part of it! One week ago, we played our first show in a nearly sold-out venue, and we’re still lost for words. The magic of PERIGON is no longer only ours to live in. It stays with you now.

You fed the altar with your rage, your tears, and your laughter. You danced wildly, honestly, and freely. You held one another and screamed at each other. All of these emotions created a spectrum of humanness we cannot thank you enough for. We read every message and are deeply grateful for your overwhelmingly positive and profound feedback.

Thank you to @houseofplamore for having us, @erosinfurs for reaching out your spiritual tentacles to us, @__flvgmodvs__ for your artist care, @andyptashka for driving our instruments through the night & @coal_lect through the day, @tigersushii for the galactic, witchy make-up, and @lissomaniac for the stunning nails. In general so grateful that spaces like @studio.db.berlin exist and make it possible to create such beautiful atmosphere.

sharing some little bits from rehearsal week for my upcoming solo, “Echoes in Heels”.

there’s something truly special about this part of the process.
so much of this piece came from the body - moving, feeling, listening, and letting things unfold.

i cried.
i got angry.
i doubted myself.

i found my way through it.

i felt proud.
i got tired.
i started again.

thank you @cemgulsum for documenting these moments and the creative process so beautifully 🤍 it truly felt safe having you around in the studio, quietly witnessing and capturing what was happening.

thank you @houseofplamore for trusting me and for giving “Echoes in Heels” a space to live and to be shared.

Our time is stolen and sold.

And we sit singing mantras to the very people that decide to draw our blood.

I sing a requiem for all of us that have bled at the hand of those meant to protect us.
