Over the last year, the Lord has grown @rvvlatx in ways only He can. No strategy could do what He’s done. I’m absolutely humbled and honored that He’s trusted us to steward this.

And hear my heart — I never want to glorify public ministry or the platform that can come with it.

Because I think it’s easy to see moments like these and want this. I know I did at one point.

But public ministry does not = intimacy with God.
A platform does not = His approval.
Being seen does not = being fruitful.
And I promise, none of it will satisfy you.

Only Jesus.

In fact, most of the actual ministry happens in the small, mundane, hidden moments that the public will never see.

Lamenting in the secret place with Jesus.

In my prayer closet, interceding for family members.

During a hard conversation with someone I love.

Seven years of waiting for God to answer a prayer.

The sacrifices that come with stewarding something much bigger than yourself.

The days I’m overwhelmed by my calendar.

Saying no to good things.

Dying to self over and over again.

Choosing obedience when nobody is watching.

Serving when there’s no recognition attached to it.

Remaining faithful when there’s nothing to post about.

Apologizing and taking accountability when you fall short.

Keeping the main thing the main thing.

And the main thing is Jesus.

There is a cost to following Him. There is a cost to stewarding what He entrusts to you. And so much of that cost will never make it to Instagram.

These photos are beautiful, and I’m incredibly grateful for what God is doing through RVVL. But these moments are the overflow, not the goal.

The goal was never a platform.
The goal was never a crowd.
The goal was never to be seen.

It’s knowing Jesus.
Loving Jesus.
Becoming like Jesus.
And being faithful with whatever He puts in front of us, whether thousands of people see it or no one ever does.

May we never become more in love with what God can do through us than we are with God Himself.

Jesus is still the reward 🤍

“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord”
