It's been awhile since I've done a storytelling set but this one felt like the perfect one to do this particular story..

It's the one on how/why I got into storytelling and stories behind the late nights staying up doing midnight lives during the run of the pandemic..

Sorry for your loss is going to be an entertaining show?

I mean @codenamesoda is the main act with..

Produced by the lot @houseoftofficial and brought to you by the safeguards over at @swaraksha_art

DM if you wanna listen to this one time only story as I'm not planning to bring the story back ever again..

Behind every performance is a life that continues long after the lights go down.

For musicians and gig curators, the work can mean unpredictable incomes, constant comparison, blurred boundaries between work and personal life, pressure to keep creating, and the emotional weight of whether a show, song, or opportunity succeeds.

In part 2 of the Behind the Spotlight series, @senjutimaitra looks at the experiences that often remain out of sight — including the gendered challenges, discrimination, and lack of recognition that shape life in India’s independent music industry.

Through conversations with musicians and gig curators across the country, Behind the Spotlight asks us to look beyond the romance of the artist’s life and consider the realities of the people sustaining India’s music ecosystems.

This was really special. Chennai is home with warm weather and warmer people.

We played a stripped down session for the 8th anniversary @houseoftofficial with @seattle.wildfire last week and we want to thank everyone who made it to the show despite the rain.

Aches and Bruises is the poem I chose to Send over at the pop up market for @houseoftofficial event for turning 8 years.

And a lot of you have been asking me to post it up here.

So here it is without context but with every word written intentionally for those who suffer 😢 in silence and still put up a smile for others. 😊

All that's up for sale tomorrow (not my toes) at @houseoftofficial 8th Anniversary popup at Vinyl and Brew between 11 am and 7:30 pm. If you ask nice, you can even make your Linocut prints on the spot 😋

COME and say hi if you're in Chennai, I look forward to seeing you :))))
