This Saturday, October 17th is going to be lit!

Start your day at 2pm and wander around @east_kensington_arts and explore all the incredible oddities that @weirdooddfest will offer. Find me near Philadelphia Brewing Company dishing out personalized poems on the spot. I’ll be popping up in a sea of circus acts, musical monstrosities, intersections in arts and crafts, and to finish out the evening a real live wrestling match. Really grateful to @fireballprints who has made it their mission to invest so much into the arts in my old neighborhood.

Afterwards, follow me just a few blocks down the street to Night of the Living Poet at @theperch_musicandarts_workshop. A literary festival spearheaded by @housepoetphilly and connecting lots of other reading series and poetic marvels across the Philly lit scene. They start things at 4pm, but the DJs and some of the poets will be spinning till midnight. So if like me, you are arriving late, you’ll probably be right on time for some real good vibes.

Hope to see you in the flow! Maybe even caught writing you some weird and spooky poems. If you’re looking for your people in Philly, here’s where to find them!

Meet the 2nd feature for our big reading this Saturday at Night of the Living Poets!

MADDY BROZUSKY is a coal-town poet currently based out of North Philadelphia. They bring an eclectic blend of prose, poetry, and performative ranting for your listening pleasure. If you look closely you can see the seams in their skin suit and notice they are actually three cryptids stacked on top of each other and hiding from the police. (Be cool, bro.) A long time friend of the incredible Thirty West Publishing House, find her on Instagram.

House Poet Prequel feat. Zack Arthur & Tiffany

A spoken word dance party + open poetry mic at @fergiespub

Zack Arthur splits his time between Philly and New York City, as all adventurous faggots do. Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, he moved to Philly in the summer of 2025 by way of North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and West Virginia. He predominantly writes pop culture essays for Across The Culture. His poems have appeared on multiple platforms in a number of countries: Indonesia (Globetrotter, Magdalene), Singapore (Queer Southeast Asia), the Philippines (ASEAN SOGIE Caucus), Australia (Perspektif), United Kingdom (GENERATE Climate), and the United States (gold/dust). He lives in West Philly with five other roommates (naturally).

Tiffany is a Philadelphia based performance artist. Drawing inspiration from the human experience and womxnhood. Their poems dissect personal experiences, and intertwine humor and trauma. You can find them making music under the pseudonym Subspacehiway across platforms.
