What’s your trick to get motivated to draw? ✍️🙂

Recently my favorite is doodling. No matter what I draw, no matter how and no matter with what tools 🖊✏️🖌🎨

The only important thing is to move my hand. And not care what I’m creating 🙃

And after a while, some ideas start to pop up in my head. Maybe it’s something I recognize and like in the doodle or maybe it’s completely unrelated 💭💡

The mind goes into a creative state and from there on everything seems easier! 😌

If you’re into sketching and drawing and are looking to improve your skills with a community of like-minded people, check this out: our Creative Compass 🧭 membership program is reopening for enrollment soon! 🙂 Stay tuned!

Tried creating this amazing scene from The king: Eternal Monarch. Couldn't do justice to Lee Min-ho' s handsome face.

Do you like it? 👍👍👍

A fun creative color exercise 🎨✍️:
1. ➜ Choose a color palette of 4 colors.
2. ➜ Paint 4 small areas with each of the colors.
3. ➜ Paint 4 areas with a combination of 2 colors and 4 areas with a combination of 3 colors from your color palette.
4. ➜ Try to see what kind of meaningful objects or scenes those color combinations could represent and draw them!
5. ➜ give yourself a time limit to do it and remember: focus on the color of the area you painted and not the shape!
This exercise will train your right brain side, your imagination, and visualization as well as your drawing skills. Have fun! 🙂
