The Rolling Stones - Black & Blue Sessions Vol. 1 - 1 LP - Yellow/Orange Marbled Vinyl - USA - 1982 - Raven Records - RT 797 About: A 1982 American bootleg featuring alternate recordings from the 1974–75 Black and Blue sessions. It includes different versions of “Crazy Mama”, “Melody”, “Hey Negrita” and “Fool to Cry”, plus “I Love Ladies”, which finally got an official release in 2025! The cover looks like an old newspaper, filled with photos, vintage ads and Stones references. This copy comes on yellow and orange marbled vinyl. My opinion: I really love this record! The cover is one of those you can spend ages looking at, and that marbled vinyl looks amazing! But what I enjoyed most was hearing this early version of “I Love Ladies”, which had been circulating on bootlegs for over 40 years before its official release in 2025. I love finding these old Stones gems! Are you into these old Stones bootlegs too? #therollingstones #rollingstones #rollingstonesvinylcollection #vinylcollector #blackandblue

The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed, The Real Alternate Album - 3 LPs (blue vinyl) + 2 CDs - Lenticular Cover - Europe - 2010 - Red Tongue Records RTR-011 - Limited Edition 141/500 About: The box features a 3D lenticular cover, three blue vinyl LPs and two CDs, bringing together alternate versions, outtakes, studio recordings and live performances from the Let It Bleed era. Highlights include “Gimme Shelter” with additional Keith vocals, “You Got The Silver” with Mick on vocals, early versions of “Sister Morphine” and “Loving Cup”, “Blow With Ry”, “Hillside Blues”, among others. My opinion: I love the 3D lenticular cover, and the three blue vinyls make the whole set even more beautiful. Let It Bleed is one of my favorite albums, so having all these alternate versions, outtakes and different recordings together in such a well-made package is definitely worth it! My copy is number 141 of only 500 made, one of the most important items in my Red Tongue Records box set collection. Do you have any releases from “The Real Alternate Album” series in your collection? #therollingstones #rollingstones #rollingstonesvinylcollection #vinylcollector #letitbleed

The Rolling Stones - Gravestones & Rape Of The Vaults - 2 LPs - Germany - 1978 - R.S.V.P. 002 & 003 About: A classic late-70s Stones bootleg, bringing together two previously separate R.S.V.P. titles in a double LP. The material spans BBC and TV performances, studio outtakes, rehearsals and live recordings from the 60s and 70s, including “Cocksucker Blues”, “Brown Sugar” with Eric Clapton, “Too Many Cooks” and “Sure The One You Need”. This version uses the distinctive Ruthless Rhymes Ltd. labels and comes in a plain white sleeve with a large yellow and black insert featuring Brian Jones at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. My opinion: The crude yellow and black artwork, the Ruthless Rhymes labels and this great photo of Brian give the record that true underground 70s feel. It brings together recordings that were extremely difficult to hear when it was released. I can’t imagine how many owners this copy had before it reached me, but unfortunately it is quite worn. For now, I’m keeping it in my collection until I can find a copy in better condition. Do you have any of these old R.S.V.P. Stones bootlegs in your collection? #therollingstones #rollingstones #rollingstonesvinylcollection #vinylcollector #brianjones

The Rolling Stones – Ready Steady Stones – 2 LPs – Guyana – 1976 – Matt’s Record Manufacture MRM 1891 About: This is one of those bootlegs that caught my attention mainly because of its origin. Released in 1976 by Matt’s Record Manufacture, it was actually produced in Guyana, something quite unusual when it comes to Stones records. Both the cover and the labels mention the Republic of Guyana, and the back cover even shows the manufacturer’s address in Georgetown. The mono double album brings together recordings from the 60s taken from different TV and radio appearances, including the T.A.M.I. Show, BBC, Ready Steady Go! and The Ed Sullivan Show, plus interviews with Mick Jagger and Brian Jones. I couldn’t find any reliable information about how many copies were pressed, but this is an edition that rarely shows up. For me, the combination of being an old 70s bootleg and coming from such an unlikely place as Guyana is exactly what makes this record special in the collection. My opinion: I kept this copy in my collection purely for the collecting aspect. Unfortunately, both records are severely warped and basically unplayable, so I can’t really judge the sound quality of this pressing. Normally I wouldn’t keep a record in this condition, but because of its rarity and especially its unusual origin, I decided to make an exception. Have you ever seen this Guyana pressing before? #TheRollingStones #RollingStones #RollingStonesVinyl #VinylCollection #readysteadystones

The Rolling Stones - Chantilly Lace “In Berlin” - 3 LPs - Japan - 1983 - XL 1514 / XL 1515 / XL 1516 About: A Japanese triple-LP bootleg released in 1983, featuring recordings from the Stones’ show at the Waldbühne in West Berlin on June 8, 1982. Despite the title, the album doesn’t include the complete Berlin concert and also features a few tracks from Wembley and Hampton. One interesting detail is the inclusion of “Chantilly Lace”, the Big Bopper classic that the Stones only played during their 1982 tour. But the real highlight of this edition is the cover, with its explosion of colors and brushstrokes that strongly resemble the artwork of Still Life and the stage design from that tour. A real trip back to the Stones’ visual style of the 80s! My opinion: I love this colorful, over-the-top aesthetic, which perfectly matches the Stones’ energy at the time. The audio is an audience recording and far from perfect, but hearing the band in full swing during their 1982 tour, with songs like “Chantilly Lace”, “Hang Fire” and “She’s So Cold”, more than makes up for it. And the triple-LP format makes this Japanese edition even more special to have in the collection. Did you already know about this bootleg? #therollingstones #rollingstones #rollingstonesvinylcollection #vinylcollector #berlin

The Rolling Stones - Gold Superdisc - 1 LP - Japan - 1979 - London Records - GXM-9101 About: Gold Superdisc is a compilation released exclusively in Japan in 1979 by London Records/King Record, featuring 16 tracks from the Stones’ classic 1960s period. What really sets this edition apart is its presentation. The cover features a huge close-up of Mick Jagger and, as far as I could find, this photo was not used as the cover of any other Stones LP. The large orange obi from the “Gold Superdisc” series covers a good part of the sleeve and makes it look even more distinctive. The edition also includes an insert with lyrics, Japanese text and a discography. The original price printed on the obi was ¥2,500. My opinion: The track selection is great, but what really made me want this edition was the cover. Together with the huge orange obi, it gives the record a very distinctive identity. It’s not an extremely rare edition, but a complete copy in great condition is a beautiful piece to have in the collection. Let me know if you have any other edition from the Gold Superdisc series in your collection! #therollingstones #rollingstones #rollingstonesvinylcollection #vinylcollector #goldsuperdisc

The Rolling Stones - Foreign Tongues - Picture Disc Spotify Fans First Exclusive - 2 LPs - 2026 - Rolling Stones Records / Polydor - 602488213691 / 8821369 About: Among the many versions of Foreign Tongues, this is definitely one of the most beautiful. The die-cut cover and the picture disc designs look amazing and make this edition really stand out in the collection. The downside is that picture discs have never been known for their sound quality, and combined with the heavy compression already present on the album, I found it a little disappointing here. My opinion: Visually, I love it. Both records look beautiful and this edition easily stands out among the many versions of Foreign Tongues. Sound-wise, I wouldn’t say it sounds bad, but it’s far from the version I’d choose to hear this album at its best. For me, this one is definitely more for the eyes than the ears. What about you? Do you usually buy picture discs to listen to them or mainly for collecting? #therollingstones #rollingstones #rollingstonesvinylcollection #spotify #foreigntongues
