This weekend wasn’t just about a total or medals. It was about showing up for myself through one of the hardest seasons of my life.

This training cycle was honestly therapeutic. Every session gave me space to breathe, process, fight, and keep showing up for myself even on the really difficult days. I learned so much about who I am, that showing up looks different every day, that giving myself grace matters, and that pushing when I can has led to surprising the shit out of myself more times than I can count. I’m really proud of that because none of this has been easy. I’m so grateful for this sport and for the people in my corner.

I made some lifts over the weekend and came home with a couple medals, but the real win was being surrounded by people who continue to show up for me, my coach, my team, and the friends and family outside the gym who check in, support me, and remind me I’m not carrying everything alone.

I’m still walking through a heavy season, but having an outlet like weightlifting and people who show up for me again and again means more than they know. Thank you for being my strength on the days I feel like I have none. I love you guys. 🖤

Traveled to Montgomery, AL with my family and lamented over the memorial of my great great and Ej’s great great great great Uncle Alfred Williams who was hung with friend, Plummer Bullock for returning to the grocery store after being sold rotten apples. All he wanted was fresh apples that he was subsequently denied. He was reported, pulled out of his home by towns people, hung, shot multiple times, and left to hang to send a message. All he wanted to do before his death, was to put his shoes on before his hanging.

I can’t express how visceral this museum and moment was at @eji_org. I needed my son to witness the evil of this country’s history and its impact on even our family.

My family is incredible.🏅 Celebrating 53 years of a legacy unbroken.

I walked where blood once dried,
where rope and bullet stitched silence into the sky.
But I am not silence—
I am the thunder they feared,
the seed they tried to bury,
the fruit they swore would never ripen.

My son’s eyes held their ghosts,
yet his breath is proof they did not win.
We are the marrow of Alfred’s cry,
the unbroken hymn of Plummer’s stand.
From rotten apples denied,
we rise as orchards uncontained.

Let this country choke on the lie of its innocence—
we stand, we name, we burn, we bloom.
We are the reckoning and the renewal.
We are still here.
We are still rising

“Listen… I say this from my heart….you do NOT have to be booked sunup to sundown, doing every service under the sun, just to make six figures behind the chair. You just have to be intentional.” 🤞🏾 I’ve done it it all…. Shampoo Tech, Apprenticeship, Commission Employee, Chair Rental, Suite Owner, now Salon Owner🫶🏾

🔑 Stay in communication—check in with your clients, don’t wait for them to reach out. If something’s wrong? Address it. If their hair is thriving? Celebrate it! Let them know you care.

🔑 Be proactive—don’t just wait for your books to fill. Reach out, follow up, and keep the relationships strong.

🔑 Stay in the game—keep learning, keep evolving, keep showing up. Passion + persistence = profit. Know your numbers!! This is where the discipline activates hard!

I work three to four days a week and make over $150K a year because I focus on what matters—quality over quantity, connection over chaos, and excellence over exhaustion.

If you’re tired of the hustle and ready for real, sustainable success, it’s time to level up. Stay consistent, stay educated, and trust the process.
