PART 2!!!
We asked Grammy award winning producer, engineer, and mixer Howard Willing what he thinks about making records digitally versus analog.
In today’s world, does digital actually make the job easier or does something get lost along the way?
Howard’s answer is authentic, thoughtful and honestly may surprise some people.

Sometimes life isn’t fair and you write a seething rage filled electronica track mostly in 29/4 to deal with your disappointment in humanity. I did that 15 or so years ago and now it’s finally time to share this one with the world…

My new song Hocus Pocus is out now on all the streaming platforms and is the last of the songs from my upcoming record “Songs I Wrote Instead Of Going To Therapy” to be released as a single. Album will be out in December, but in the meantime please enjoy this caustic romp, featuring @michaelvilliersdrummer on drums. Mixed by @howardwillingmix and mastered by @toneandvolumemastering 📸: @isouter

One Hand Clapping

Pass me the bottle
So I can make my mama proud
Kick and be counted
Representing for the crowd
Quit condescending
Aren’t you weary of the sound
Of one hand clapping
It’s time to burn this fucker down

I was a complainer
A naysayer just like you
Inside of the container
Sealed off from the truth
But now we’ve awakened
And our eyes are open wide
We won’t be taken
for granted by either side

And

Go get the liquor
Pass the whiskey
Tip the crown
Hand me a lighter
It’s time to burn this fucker down

The old growth is slowing
The progress of the new
The center isn’t holding
A seat for me and you
So let’s flip the table
Right over on its side
Cut all the cables
And let the bridges slide

And

Go get the liquor
Pass the whiskey
Tip the crown
Hand me a lighter
It’s time to burn this fucker down

When the skyline is empty
Cuz we razed it to the ground
When the flames are extinguished
In the ashes we’ll be found
