One week from tomorrow you better be up for getting down! The setlist is jampacked with soulful tunes and I was handed a bonafide gem from the Reverend Al Green I am going to pour my entire heart into. I hope you are there to receive a generous dose of ❤️ and 😊 from me and the band #soulmusic #tributeshow #algreen

The latest Eats In Queens newsletter featured soul warming foods, and where to eat them, along Elmhurst’s stretch of Broadway, AKA “International Mile”. Link in bio.

One of the places on the list was @sourlittleseven. We visited yesterday for their grand opening and really enjoyed our meal. It was perfect for a bitterly cold day.

The Sauerkraut fish soup was nicely sour, aromatic, and mildly spicy from the chilies. The snakehead fish fillets were tender and delicious. The soup should have been spicier and the waiter said to ask for it next time.

The Colorful dry fish pot was excellent. The fish was nicely done and the veggies were crisp. The flavor was in the oil at the bottom, so be sure to mix it in. This was our favorite dish of the meal.

We wish them lots of good luck and look forward to our next visit.

Note: Not everything on the menu was available yet.

Turn it up to 11 with F*Bomb’s tribute to Spinal Tap on September 12th at Lucky 13 Saloon. F*Bomb’s talented musicians and singers will walk the fine line between clever and stupid as they bring songs and events from the iconic film to the stage. The show coincides with the release of the long-awaited sequel Spinal Tap: The End Continues. It’ll be a night of epic camp featuring Muppet madness with The River Bottom Nightmare Band, The Pineapples, and Spinal Tap tourmates The Dose starting out the night before F*Bomb takes the stage. How big will Stonehenge be? Will any drummers survive? Be there to find out! Free trouser cucumbers for the first 20 attendees!

Last night's event @nangma_restaurant_ was amazing. Great food, fun, and fellowship. When @qns_together hungry head honcho @jonathanforgash asked for us to write our favorite dish I couldn't decide. OK, fine it was the ma la crispy fish, followed closely by the beef and potato.
