27 months later…

A dream that’s actually real life now!! 27 months of hard work, some of the best memories, a lot of laughs (and tears), plenty of exams, and multiple days questioning why I signed up for this. So grateful for my family, friends, and professors who made the hard days easier and the good days even better, and thankful to God for getting me through every step along the way.

Officially done with school for the rest of my life!!! #PA

Our Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Physician Assistant Studies and Master of Biomedical Science programs welcomed youth from the High Point Housing Authority’s Summer Enrichment Program, sharing what it means to care for others through movement, medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.

A day filled with curiosity, learning, and lots of smiles reminded us that our the future of healthcare starts with moments like these.

A classroom full of broken arms and legs??? Yep! Our PA students spent the day learning casting techniques on classmates as part of their hands-on clinical training. #immersive #highpointuniversity #pa #immersivelearning

Tonight, my wife Jade was honored by the High Point University Department of Physician Assistant Studies with the Preceptor Legacy Award, and I couldn’t be more proud of her.

For 14 years, Jade has faithfully served as a Physician Assistant in our community, caring for people with compassion, excellence, and wisdom. But for the last 11 years, she has also poured herself into the next generation by precepting PA students from High Point University and helping shape them into the kind of providers patients can trust.

What makes Jade special isn’t just her knowledge or experience. It’s the way she genuinely cares. She values learning. She values people. She wants students to become the very best Physician Assistants they can be, not just clinically, but personally.

Tonight’s award is well deserved. Her legacy is already being carried into exam rooms, hospitals, clinics, and lives all across our community through the students she has invested in over the years.

So proud of you, Jade!

Every white coat has a story. 🩺
We asked our PA students: Why did you choose this profession?
Their answers? Passion. Purpose. People. 💜
