🎓 Wednesday Recap | College Application Week!

In celebration of College Application Week, I had the opportunity to take my 11th and 12th-grade students from Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy, along with some of our Early College students, on college visits to High Point University and North Carolina A&T State University! 🏫✨

It was a great experience for both me and my students as we explored each campus and learned more about academic success, scholarship opportunities, athletics, campus life, history, and so much more! Experiences like these allow students to explore their options, see what’s possible, and start envisioning their futures beyond high school. 🎓📚

Also had some special guests show up to the tour with us: my former students who recently graduated high school from Northwest and Southeast that are currently students at NC A&T 😊. It was good seeing them doing well with college life 🥳.

College Application Week is a great reminder that the next chapter starts with taking that first step! Whether it’s exploring colleges, researching scholarships, or submitting applications, there are so many opportunities ahead. 💻📝

A huge thank you to both universities for your warm hospitality and for welcoming us to your campuses! We appreciate the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow! 🫶🏽

The future starts here! Today, our students had the opportunity to explore their college options and connect with representatives from over 29 colleges and universities at our Mini College Fair!

Students were able to ask questions about programs, campus life, coursework, and the application process to university admissions representatives. Our Panthers are taking the next steps towards their future! We would like to gratefully thank all of the colleges, universities, and organizations that attended our fair today. There were many more than pictured even here!

A huge shoutout to our School Counseling team for putting on a great event for our students!

Spanish beyond the classroom! 🇪🇸
Today with Prof. Salama and Prof. Adams, students explored where Spanish can take them—from majors and minors to study abroad, careers, and campus organizations. And the best part? Flamenco! The performance was a hit, and everyone got to learn a few moves. 💃
Language, culture, and lots of fun!
