This weekend was a movie all while holding down weekend radio! Scroll to the end!! I wish I could tag EVERYBODY! If we saw each other this weekend, say so in the comments.⬇️

*Friday* @Official_Blackstreet pulled up to the radio station Friday. I received a “will you be there Friday too?” phone call. So, I had to pull up! Much love to @YNotTamiya & @LeviLittle_of_Blackstreet who ALWAYS show me soooo much love!

*Saturday was busy, beautiful blur.* Big shoutout to @JayJayMayo for assisting me all day while still being famous. 😜
- 1st stop was to congratulate #Blackstreet for their street naming in VA Beach. Saw so many great folks, hugged more people than I can count, & even took pics. Who got ‘em? LLLOL
- Then headed over to @HUScripps for our @HRBMP_Org meeting. Some of my mentees were in the building! Enjoyed my media & comms peers, set a few get-out-the-chat lunch dates, & FINALLY got to meet @EfremGraham (yep, I fangirl media folks. Hush!)
- Lastly, headed to work @ABOFestival. Shouts out to all of the media, photographers, & videographers! Folks came through heavy to HIIT Fit, the youth talent show, indie artist showcase, expert Own Your Lane panel, & closed the night out with @BeanieSigelSP & @PhillyFreeway! 🎤 were definitely on! Peep the last slide for my POV of the show. 🤯 Ayo @OfficialCEOGman had the boardwalk on tilt…AGAIN. Errrrrybody pulled up even after their own busy weekends, other events, AND the Battle of the Bay…the one where @NorfolkStateUniversity spanked HU’s hindend. Now y’all know I gotsta love what I do when work makes me miss my beloved NSU. Yeeeaaaaa Coach @MikeVick! 🏈💚💛🔰🏆

We’re proud to spotlight Kaylah Ussin, an NSU Mass Communications & Journalism student who recently appeared as a guest on WHRO’s Another View in an episode examining the controversy surrounding Flock cameras and their use in communities.

Kaylah’s participation highlights the important role students can play in conversations about technology, public safety, privacy, and the media.

👏 Join us in congratulating Kaylah on this exciting opportunity and recognizing her voice in an important community conversation!

Some of our Pirates traveled across the water to attend the 2026 National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Atlanta! ✈️💙

From attending panels and the career fair to networking with journalists from across the country, students took part in a variety of opportunities throughout the convention. Students even had the chance to catch up with familiar alumni and professors.

A special congratulations to @mo.media._ for being named the 2026 NABJ Student of the Year and @yoboybl for being recognized as the 2026 NABJ Sports Task Force Scholar! 🎉

Until next year! 🏴‍☠️🌊
