🎨 RÉMANENCE — An Exhibition of Indonesian Contemporary Art in Paris Rémanence, an exhibition featuring works by three Indonesian artists : Tara Kasenda, Raexsyaf Arrahman, and Putu Hrisikesa, curated by Tania Anjani. 𝘙é𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 17 - 27 September 2026 Vernissage : Thursday, 17 September 2026, 18.30 Curated by : Tania Anjani @tanianjani Le Pavé d’Orsay @lepavedorsay 48 rue de Lille, Paris, France The title 𝘙é𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 is inspired by the concept of an afterimage, the lingering impression left by something after it’s gone. Through painting, photography, and assemblage, the exhibition asks: what persists once its source is out of reach? Tara’s paintings render their subjects indistinct, retaining an image without insisting on its clarity. Putu imprints the human form onto materials like corn husk and other ephemeral substrates, using texture to evoke the sense of touch. Raexsyaf embeds coffee grounds, rotters, and discarded elements within wax and resin, treating what is usually discarded as material worth keeping. Collectively, these artists contemplate persistence not as a non changing state, but as a form of afterlife, traceable through paint, print, and sediment alike.
