I am thrilled to announce our strategic partnership between HR Kickstart and Rippling. Building strong strategic partnerships has been a key element for our growth thus far, and so when I had the opportunity to partner our fractional HR work with the incredible tech that Rippling offers, I knew it would be a win/win/win. I am so impressed with how their entire company operates, and as you’ll see in our future content, Andi Osbon is going above and beyond to make sure her clients and partners get the BEST service possible. If your company is looking at adding or shifting your HR tech stack, let’s get you squared away and get you some top notch concierge level service. More insightful content coming soon about how startups and small businesses can utilize the power of Rippling’s platform to streamline all things HR.

“If it’s not fun, don’t do it.”… Wise words this morning from somebody that I consider one of my great mentors. Along the journey of life, and especially as an entrepreneur building and growing a business, it’s too easy to get laser focused on achieving BIG goals. Big goals can be super motivating, but trying to achieve them tomorrow is not realistic. In the day-to-day of moving towards those big goals, it’s easy to get caught up and work 14 to 16 to 18 hour days and grind myself into the ground. While there is a time for sprints and recovery, It’s also important to look up and say, “Am I having fun?”. If the answer is no, then why am I doing this? It seems cliché to say “Enjoy the journey!”. We hear that all the time. However, that really is the source of joy and happiness, isn’t it? We are only here on earth for a short period of time. We should make sure that while we’re busy making an impact it’s also fueling us on the inside. What’s one thing you do to make sure you’re enjoying the journey?

Should business owners have a Pre-Nup? My wife and I don’t have a pre-nup. I was philosophically opposed to it back when we got married. 18 years later and it turned out ok. :) Now that we are business partners, I can totally see the rationale for getting one. Or even a “post nuptial” agreement that discusses how the business operates or who owns what in the event of a divorce. Selfishly, I asked @paragaminesq what he thought about best practices for couples in business, and his advice here makes so much sense to me. The business and the marriage are each their own life form. Yes they are intertwined, but ultimately they each have different agreements, different financial stakes, and different purposes. His point? Preparing (in advance) for a storm that has a 50/50 chance of actually hitting you, is better than not preparing at all. It’s a plan you hope you never have to use, but it’s much easier to make the plan when emotions aren’t running white hot. Ultimately, do what’s best for YOU, and make sure you get great legal advice from awesome attorneys like Parag. #entrepreneurship #couplesinbusiness #hrkickstart

Always putting ourselves in the right rooms with great people who challenge us to grow. @tanyacarroll26 and I had the pleasure of meeting leadership expert @johncmaxwell who has authored dozens of best selling books on the topic we care so much about. When we met John and told him about our company, he lit up and said: “Well you’re my kind of people then!” - and made us feel like the most important people in his life in that moment. That’s true leadership to me. Being present. Humble. Compassionate. Kind. So grateful for @brandonmdawson and the entire @cardoneventures team for putting on this spectacular 9 Figure Boardroom event. Ready for the next challenges ahead and excited to uplevel our own leadership. #leadershipskills #johnmaxwell #hrkickstart #entrepreneurjourney

We are always learning and always investing in ourselves so we can support our team better and grow our business. @hrkickstart is about to turn 3 years old and it’s been a ride! Always great to be back in Scottsdale. And a bonus that we managed to get our flight out in between two snowstorms. Here for the weekend for a “people essentials” workshop so we can stay on top of what’s working in the worlds of HR and leadership development, and also have a chance to network with small business owners who are growing fast. Oh and I may sneak in a training run today out here in the 67 degree gloriousness. 🙂 #entrepreneurship #hrkickstart #smallbusinessgrowth

Let @tanyacarroll26 welcome you inside @hrkickstart’s newest office! 📍 The building was built in 1908. It is an old bank that was remodeled. 🗝️ The conference room is inside the original money vault even! 💰 The marble circle in the floor is original floor from the bank. 😱 And best of it all, free breakfast! (Hence the eggs & hash-browns shot) 😜🍳 Big shoutout to @align.space & Chuck for making us feel so welcome! ✨ #HRkickstart #HR #Alignspace #align #office #humanresources #newoffice
