WWJD. i couldn’t have asked for a more life changing week. words can’t even describe how grateful i am to have been a part of this mission trip and my love for GO ministries. i would have never thought my faith could grow so much in a short 7 days. i’m so thankful for all of the new relationships i built and all of the ways i saw God working in and through me this week. ❤️

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” ~Matthew 28:18-20

I spent the best week of my life serving the people of the DR with the most amazing team ever. We hosted 2 medical clinics that helped serve almost 400 people and we painted volleyball courts and a baseball field for the kids in La Mina.

Writing this post is difficult because I have no clue where to start. There are no words to describe the people I grew close with, the people I met, and the lives we touch. Let’s just say that the Lord was really working in our hearts. I did not want to leave at all. I’m feeling homesick just writing this in the comfort of my own home here in the U.S.

This whole week, I learned that we need to be grateful for what we have and find the joy in everything. All of the kids I met didn’t complain once about what they had, instead they were thankful that we came to hang out and play with them. I learned many lessons but the biggest take-away was that we are privileged to live in the states. Our society has made it harder to find joy and gratefulness in what we have. These kids really showed me what it means to be thankful and happy. I miss my kids so much, but I will be back soon!
