SENIOR SZN♥️

I am so grateful for everything track has brought me especially the experiences and friends I will always remember! And am forever thankful for the effect God has had on me through sports especially this season with breaking the Lewisburg school record for 300m Hurdles to keeping my recurring hip and knee problems in check😂
LOVE LEWISBURG TRACK ALWAYS🫶🏻

i guess it’s my turn to write a sappy speech, and i’m not one for speaches, but here we go.

at the end of my sophomore year, Coach fennema talked me into trying out for cross country. Now I had no intentions of actually following through and doing it, but I thought, why not at least try out. If you had told me six months ago that these weirdos would become some of my best friends and that i’d get to be with them everyday bright and early, I would’ve looked at you like you were crazy. the memories that I have made with this team are truly some of My Favorite. I knew this was where God wanted me. Right here in this crazy family with all of these amazing people. I wouldn’t trade this season for anything(even with the injuries). I can’t believe i only have a year left, but i couldn’t be more excited to see what the coming season holds.🤍

The 2023 XC season is over, and my cross country days are over as well. It has been such a blast and so much fun being a part of this team. From my best friend @silasmew getting me to try out to running my last race with a PR of 21:01. I wasn’t the fastest but I still enjoyed it so much. The easy and the hard days were all worth it and I don’t know what I would have done without it. Cross country is a sport that I never would’ve seen myself doing but I did it and like I said it was worth it. The bus rides, pre/post races, the team, the mental push, and more were reasons I loved this sport so much. It’s sad to see it go but I’m glad I had fun with it. Goodbye and thank you DC cross country.
