Things were looking up for Friday of ILHC 2024.

I don't compete but I love hanging out at ILHC. I enjoy hyping people up, talking some friendly trash and just experiencing things that don't happen often in any other corner of the Lindy Hop scene.

Like the brush of air as a shoe flew off of @arigabianca and past me during the Normalizer prelims. No photo of that unfortunately.

Or @hello.lapin putting on a show for her friends and appreciative onlookers during the Open Solo Jazz semi finals.

Or everyone losing their minds during one of @biancalocatelli and Nils spotlights in the Invitational Strictly Lindy Hop.

Seriously, it's hard to get a photo of them as they contort through the air at breakneck speeds, but hopefully the resolution of their photo will allow you to zoom in on the expressions of everyone else from their fellow competitors to the crowd to the band itself. The one on bassist @jenhodgebass is my favorite.

Then there's how everyone looks up as Gabriela Novellino from Brazil tossed her jacket into the crowd during the All Star Solo Jazz Finals.

Thanks to @dannyjonokuchi who led a killer band for social dancing but also announced that he put together over 30 custom charts for all the contests that he's playing over the weekend. Looking forward to hearing more from him on Sunday!.

Check out full results as they are posted over on the @lindyhopchamps Instagram.

Love you all. My good partners.
