These photos look like I had THE BEST time at the @emberloungeau Boldly in Business Conference last week.... because I actually did!

Such a privilege to contribute to this conference that brought together more than 100 women in business, with a real focus on helping businesses south of the river grow.

The energy in the room was NEXT LEVEL.

I facilitated a session on branding your business boldly and showing up to win business. I also shared some of what I’ve learnt over the past eight years in business and joined some meaningful panel discussions. Was great to see familiar faces, meet new people and hear the conversations happening across the rooms too.

Also ... Can I just say.... What a seriously well-run event 👏👏👏 Multiple rooms, speakers, facilitators and moving parts, all brought together with so much thought and care. Ash Battye and Emma Bennett you guys rock!

I know I talk about this a lot, but I believe creativity and community are two of the biggest drivers of business growth. Getting into rooms like this helps us make connections, learn, think bigger and find the confidence to take our next step. I came to contribute, and left with plenty of motivation and inspiration myself.

Something else I was impressed by was that an experience of this calibre was available for a very accessible price point, thanks to so many sponsors. Great to see so much investment in small business from the likes of City of Kwinana, Ambrosia Catering & Event Hire, Bendigo Bankk, BUSY Business AU, Secret Harbour Chiropractic, Osinski Finance, Joss Legal and Alcoa.

I’ve had a sweet spot for ‘south of the river’ since buying in the City of Rockingham in 2013, and it’s been exciting to watch the growth in both the business community and the lifestyle around the region. I’m looking forward to contributing more to what’s coming next. (I’ll have more to share on that soon).

Thank you, Ash and Em and everyone who sponsored, contributed to and attended the day. It was an absolute privilege to be part of it.

Ohhh and @kirsten_graham_photo and team for the awesome snaps! 📸

I am still feeling a little lost for words after last Thursday night's Future Female Leaders Program Gala Event. 💃🙏🏼✨💖

14 young ladies from across WA all sharing their passions, learnings and commitments that they are making as our Future Female Leaders.

An absolutely inspiring and uplifting evening with the the amazing Carmen Braidwood as MC, Dr Katherine Iscoe as our Keynote Speaker and more than 160 people packed into the Hilton ballroom all in the name of driving gender equity.

With the pilot program only wrapping up in November 2021, the Future Female Leaders Program has now completed it's first full year and I'm blown away at what we've accomplished in that short time.

Together, with Co-Founder Karen Dennett and our third Director Emma Burdett, the FFL Program is empowering our future change-makers NOW, and we are SO BLOODY PROUD of the interest from Organisations that this program is attracting.

If you want in on the 2023 program, reach out via the link in the comments 🙌🏻

I have a confession... public speaking does not come naturally to me. In fact, it freaks me out. I'm talking full on sweaty palms and heart racing a hundred miles an hour.

You might not see that from the outside thanks to the Saturday Drama and Public Speaking Lessons my mum had me take part in when I was 12 years old (mum's really do know best).

I've been able to fly under the radar over the last few years as we haven't had a lot of large gatherings.... until recently when I needed to speak at the @futurefemaleleadersprogram Pitch Night (insert freaking out emoji).

It took me a bit to get into the groove but at the end of the day, sharing the impact the participants are having and the pride I have for all of their efforts is more important than sitting on the side lines comfortably.

Next stop - The Future Female Leaders Program Grad Gala in September where I'll say a few words alongside fellow program facilitators Claire from @eatingyourcaketoo and @engagingeducation from Engaging Education, and our courageous 16-year-old future female leaders.

Will we see you there? Tickets are available here and it's going to be a fab evening! https://events.humanitix.com/the-future-female-leaders-program-graduation-gala-dinner

We LOVE our monthly online power coaching circles with participants.

The sessions provide a great opportunity to check in with our young future female leaders as to how their social projects are going, as well as discuss things like mindset, imposter syndrome, self doubt and other barriers that can sometimes get in our way of taking action.

This photo, which was taken last Thursday is our final catch up before this weeks Networking and Pitch event. Our participants will get to put their new networking skills into action, as well as have the opportunity to pitch their newly formed social impact ideas around the United Nations SD Goal they are the most passionate about.

We channeled some Jane Fonda to kick off a Problem Solving skills session for the @futurefemaleleadersprogram today!

7am in the UK (and 7 degrees!) for me and 2pm for the Western Australian contingent, so we all needed a little stretch and move!

It was so inspiring to hear about the new cohort's projects and the Sustainable Development Goals they want to tackle. We unpacked some of their 'why?', 'what if?' and 'how?' as they approach their leadership projects.

Karen (@engagingeducation ) and Claire Seeber (@eatingyourcaketoo ) have created such a valuable program for these young women and I can't wait to hear where next for them all!

Make sure you're following the Future Female Leaders Program for updates on their pitch night, innovations, events and opportunities to support these young superstars as the program unfolds.
