I told this story in North Carolina but I wanted to tell it here too! Simple Reality has been a band for 5 years now and sometimes, I’m still not sure why Brooke decided to play the drums and take this musical path. I’ve always wanted to play music and be in a band but it never really seemed to work out for one reason or another. I would always tell Brooke, “you’re a drummer, you could play!!” She would respond by laughing and saying “no I’m not gonna play the drums” lol. Then one day, Brooke got on the drums (probably because I suggested it so many times lol) and it was magic!! At the time, I was taking drum lessons because I thought it might be something I would pursue but after I heard Brooke play, I immediately thought “well, this is a drummer!!” A few seconds after Brooke stopped playing, I said “you are playing beats I’m trying to learn without even trying!” loll Brooke then said, “really? ok I will play, let’s do it.” Simple Reality was created on that day! To finish this story, even though parts of the last 5 years feel like a blur loll, I’m very grateful that Brooke made the decision after playing the drums that day to take this music road with me!! I’m excited to see where Simple Reality continues to go!!

Thank you again @huesoftunes for the amazing pictures (live from the Milestone in North Carolina) you are the best!!🖤💛
