HOW TO WORKSHOP ORGANYAĢ€ IS FINALLY COMING IN 2027!

If you’re tired of paying for lifts to take you to takeoff, but really want to improve your wing control, we have the perfect workshop for you!

OrganyaĢ€ is like a wind tunnel for skydivers: a place where simply flying will improve your skills like nowhere else. It’s where paragliding legends are born—and for good reason! This spot is without a doubt one of the most efficient places in the world to train.

You take off once and can stay in the air for hours, doing lap after lap without ever having to land. There’s no gondola or bus to pay for, yet you can gain between 1,000 and 1,500 metres of altitude and practise for hours, using nothing but the wind and thermals to climb the mountain again and again.

The flying box is probably one of the safest in the world, and this workshop will definitely make a before-and-after difference for every one of you.

A lot of people have asked for part two of my tension knot video… ā€œthe rescue.ā€

The truth is, there really isn’t much video.

Once I heard the guys below me, I turned my camera off and put it away. At that point I was hanging roughly 22 meters up a tree, and the camera had become one more snag hazard and one more thing I didn’t need to manage.

When I first crashed and canopy caught the tree, I pulled myself as close to the trunk as I could. I messaged the group chat to let everyone know I was okay, and called REGA so they knew I was safe and wouldn’t unnecessarily send a helicopter.

Then came the next problem: I had to figure out how to get out of a tree 22 meters above the ground. I tried to assess the situation, played koala for a while 🐨.

I was suspended high enough in my harness that I couldn’t bend over far enough to unzip the legs of my suit myself. Although in hindsight maybe I could have, I was just in shock and terrified but couldn’t process it all.

So Hugo climbed up to me.

There is something pretty humbling about hanging in a tree after one of the scarier moments of your life while another human being voluntarily climbs 20+ meters into that tree to help you get your pants off. šŸ˜… We threw the pants down and then I was able to climb farther into the tree, get myself out of the harness, and eventually we down-climbed.

No helicopter. No dramatic rescue.

Just some very good humans, a lot of tree, and a long climb back to the ground.

And then… we walked out of the woods.

I laughed. I joked about it. I thanked everyone who helped me. I talked about the whole thing in an almost suspiciously cheerful voice.

I was incredibly grateful. But I don’t think I had actually processed any of it yet.

In stressful situations, my brain tends to do one thing very well: compartmentalization and focus on objective actions. What needs to happen right now? Do that. Feel it later.

And for the rest of that day, that worked. Although I could feel myself getting frustrated by the questions and comments and almost shocked by how worried people were for me. The feeling part for me came the next morning when I told myself I must jump again asap or… (cont.)
