You can take the Sustainable Solutionist out of California, but she's still gonna show up as an activist; shop local; find the refill store, and the farmer's market, and the secondhand art supply store, and the apothecary, and the free bookstore, and the community garden, and the thrift...all while hitting the best bars/pop-ups; creating & enjoying delicious cocktails and vegan recipes, while making new friends (and loving hard on the old ones).

...That was a fun few weeks; thanks, Chicago, nos vemos pronto 🥃🌱✨️😊💕

An update for the roughly 7 people who will see this post because I’m pretty sure we’re still living in the shadows:

- Meet Ayame! She’s a 2 year old Shiba Inu who just joined our family.
- Orion turned 6 in May so happy belated to him
- We’re back in Chicago!
- This is not a big return to IG. This platform is even weirder and grosser than I remember, but we did miss our values-aligned online friends.
- Changed our username now that it’s not just Orion (obviously). Dog dad helped with the new name. Will it be more, less, or equally confusing as the previous username? Who knows. Goguma is sweet potato in Korean. Orion loves goguma, but time will tell with Ayame.
- We will miss walking in a straight line for a while. IYKYK lol.

Both pups are coexisting well, but Ayame is still in the middle of her adjustment period. Orion is definitely a dog who can have a sister but probably not friends lol. We watched him adjust well when we were dog-sitting a lot so we felt it was time. We’re grateful to @kokuryuushibas and @sayashibas who entrusted Ayame to us. We love her so much.

K, that’s it. 🍠🍠
