Yoooo. I’m back on the SWU dials tomorrow and am buzzing to have not one but two figure heads of the scorching hot and swiftly ascending southern club sound bringing guest mixes; ROYO (@club_south_infinite )and DJ YOUNG BROWN (@iamyoungbrown_ )

Royo is a DJ, Producer and label head from Houston Texas and a key figure in moulding, developing and propelling the Southern Club sound. His productions and edits take in everything from US club heaters and Latin infused numbers to Jungle, Footwork and UKG, all the time staying true to the raw chopped and screwed rap heritage of his hometown. Royo also heads up the amazing Club South imprint, which has become synonymous with only the finest of vibes, releasing tracks from some of the regions hottest talent as well as calling on remixers / collaborators such as DJ Sliink and El Blanco Nino to sprinkle their magic.

DJ Young Brown is a multidisciplinary artist from Texas, who started his journey as a photographer capturing Houston’s underground scene before going on to take to the decks and crafting tunes of his own. Young Brown’s productions and DJ sets take influences from House, RnB and Soul, combining them with breaks heavy regional club sounds, Ballroom and chopped up Jungle to infectious and floor ready effect. With a slew of releases on Club South and a run of seriously cool gigs, DJ Young Brown is an undisputed rising star and certainly one to have on your radars.

I jammed together a selection of club music for the first hour of the Show. Includes tracks by @hunch.pn @calvomusic @tromac @amarji_king @bored_lord @djjayhood @tah_heaux @trapsntrees plus lots more.

Hope you all enjoy x

I hosted a group photoshoot; The concept:

We cosplay being at a fancy cocktail party, dressed in high fashion attire. There was wine, light finger foods as props and a DJ playing refreshing sounds to set the atmosphere.

THIS WAS SO FUN!!!! Thank you to everyone who showed up 🫶🏽🪩🕺

Rewired Synapse(s) OUT RN LINK IN BIO

much love to @hunch.pn for the cover

all song produced, mixed, mastered, n recorded by me

-

my first go at a dance/club/house/d&b tape, the theme was using music and dance to alter your brains previous way of operating after goin thru a life changing event,

these tracks are months old and i was sitting on them before i decided to finish them up n turn them into an ep

TRACKLIST

11:48 runtime

feelings amp’d

length: 2:00

-

the intro to the tape, this song starts off with a warning to all listeners that their synapses are about to b rewired as a meltdown occurs in the brains motherboard

reddy 2 dance

length: 2:37

-

reddy 2 dance is a track thats sure to get u movin, lots of percussion and rhythm with a lil vocal sample to throw you into the essence of the tape

speedin’ love missile

length: 1:52

-

speedin’ love missile features a radio transmission from the apollo 11 space mission and serves as a “break” in the tape,

the “missile” can b heard throughout the song and it represents love bombing in a sense and the idea that once you launch a love missile theres no turning back

touchin’ (rewired)

length: 5:18

-

and finally touchin’ (the rewired version)
previously released as a single, this version is altered to flow with the tape and is meant to b bumped n grinded to in the club or in the bedroom,

the visual in my head while this song plays is that of the matrix zion scene (that i used visuals for when the single dropped), its the one song on the ep that i think is the most easily digestible and can have the most mass appeal
