I’m pretty sure the week of Jenny and Nick’s wedding was full of rain chats, backup plans, and clear umbrella prep. Of course, we always hope for perfect weather—especially on a wedding day—but lately, Mother Nature seems to have a mind of her own.

The plan for a first look in DUMBO? Scratched. But the vintage taxi still met us there, so with clear umbrellas in hand and their fluffy Samoyed, Ghost, by their side, we captured some beautifully romantic, rainy-day NYC taxi photos.

When we arrived at Giando on the Water, the rain finally let up. We were able to sneak in a few shots without the umbrellas—and yes, Ghost’s paws somehow stayed perfectly white! The vintage taxi even made its way to Giando for more portraits, and despite the weather, the day turned out to be just as magical as planned.

Sure, rainy wedding days can be a bit more hectic and chaotic—but honestly, that little bit of chaos only adds to the fun.
