Stopped by a @jilleskogroup_atproperties listing (at 808 Prairie in Glencoe, IL) for the most delicious arugula, tomato and crispy bacon (I mean the crispiest bacon EVER) sandwich with a truffle aioli from @thefatshallot food truck! I’m with one of my favorite clients (🤫) and friends, @thereallutz of @bencohenlends in this pic! And if you’re in the market for an absolutely stunning — and very private — property, with lots of coveted land, message @jilleskogroup_atproperties !

Saturday Snack Review: Where I review a new snack every week!
__________
@hungrymonkeybaking currently has a "Fall Trio" available that includes a Cinnamon Apple Streusel Cake. This has chunks of Fuji apples 🍎, butter 🧈, and a cream cheese base that create a buttery and sweet snack. It's a crumbly texture on the top and a moist and somewhat dense interior. I think this would pair perfectly with tea or apple cider. ☕️ What's your favorite Fall food?
__________
Fun fact: Cinnamon has high fiber and calcium, so this could help improve colon health!

Had an immense pleasure of baking along with Cindy, the founder of @hungrymonkeybaking, during a Zoom event organized by Angela of @yelpnorthshore. It was a lot of fun! We followed a recipe for Chewy Brownies adapted from @testkitchen with a lot of tips and a visual from Cindy. Cindy also shared a very simple recipe for a delicious chocolate ganache that made the brownies even more decadent. It was a smoothly organized event, we received an ingredient & equipment list ahead of time and I was able to gather everything to really bake along. Not much of a baker, but I felt like a superstar when I finally poured the glaze with Grand Marnier on top and dug in 😋 The only difficulty was to wait until the brownies cooled down, a big ask! Cindy was great, informative and patiently answered all questions! She graciously offered a Yelp discount for all the goodies from her online store, I am looking forward to stocking on some of that small batch banana bread 😋 Thank you for organizing, it was a great opportunity to make something delicious and forget about COVID pandemic🙏. Chocolate always helps! 😀
