Kansas you are one special place! From getting a call from Jake at 8 PM Friday night, buying a plane ticket at 10 PM, being in the woods by 5 PM Saturday night and this old bruiser walking out to us at 7:20 PM . It has been a whirlwind of emotions over the last 24 hours and I can’t thank Jake, Mr. Ray and the Good Lord enough! Until next time Kansas!

Everything happens for a reason. Easy to always ask why when things don’t go right, but the Lord always has his plan… he taught me that well this year. My job doesn’t make it easy on me to have time to myself in the woods, to get to hunt the way I like and to chase the quality of deer I desire. From a bow mishap last year to a dumb camera mistake on my end taking my first opportunity away from me last week. I craved this feeling something awful, and started to question if I’d get to feel it again. And just like that he was 25 yards…

And thanks a ton Talon for swinging down from Iowa to give us a hand and to help capture this moment, blessed to have our friendship and this moment together..
