Soprano: Théodora Cottarel (She/Her)

Théodora Cottarel is a French-American soprano praised for her "electrifying" performances (Schmopera) and "beauty of tone" (Houston Press). This season, she tours the cabaret-opera concert An Evening in Paris. Sheis the soloist in outdoor cabaret show ‘Arts in the Park’, in Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, and in Verdi's Requiem with NYCOP. In the 25/26 season, she made several role debuts, including Della (The Gift of the Magi) with Park City Opera, Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor) at Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare) with SPO, and Christine (The Phantom of the Opera) with Sun Valley Opera and Broadway. Other roles include Temperance (The Meeting House) with Seattle Opera's Creation Lab, Marie (La fille du régiment), Violetta (La Traviata), Elena (Paride ed Elena), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Micaëla (Carmen), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), and Despina (Così fan tutte), among others. Mezzo-Soprano: Erin Reppenhagen (She/Her)

Erin Reppenhagen, mezzo-soprano, has been praised by Opera News as “flaunting a deep, dark mezzo.” She will make her Park Avenue Armory debut this fall, performing with GRAMMY Award-winning ensembles the Steve Reich Ensemble and Alarm Will Sound. Her work explores the worlds of classical and contemporary music, premiering new compositions including Anthony Davis and Joan Ross Sorkin’s The Reef, while also appearing as a soloist in Bach Vespers and Handel’s Messiah. Her operatic credits include Dryad (Ariadne auf Naxos), Red Butcher (Prince Cnut), Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor), Flora Bervoix (La traviata), Madame de Chantal (The Reef), Thurza (Les Naufrageurs), Miss Todd (The Old Maid and the Thief), Sesto (La clemenza di Tito), and Mrs. Bass (Emmeline). www.erinreppenhagen.com

After 6 long weeks in Iowa, there’s a lot of love to show for it! Thank you to @offstage_isaac for bringing me on this breathtaking project of King Roger with @desmoinesmetroopera . Aside from working with an incredible array of world class artists and an amazing stage production team, my heart is full with all of the new friends I’ve made. Tosca Cover Run: ⛪️♥️🔪

This week, I sang my very first Floria Tosca in the cover run for @desmoinesmetroopera ‘s production of TOSCA. Absolutely surreal!

I can’t express the amount of gratitude I have for this profound experience. This was my very first cover assignment in my singing life and being given this beautiful opportunity at 25 was all God’s timing.

Floria Tosca has been with me for about 8 months and she taught me so much about what it means to sing and what it means to perform. This role challenged me in ways that I didn’t expect, but I feel that I have grown in my artistry so much because of her.

Since arriving at DMMO, I have been observing a brilliant team of artists that have shown so much generosity and fearlessness. It has been an honor to cover the phenomenal @laurawildesoprano in this production. Her portrayal of Tosca is heartbreaking, captivating, and fierce. I’m so thankful for the support and kindness she has shown me during this process.

The Lord’s blessings continue to astonish me and I can’t wait to see where He will lead me next.
