THE BATTLE FOR THE 🔔 TONIGHT!!

Had to sit on this EPIC shoot with my MMP senior boys until today: the BELL at the BELL!!

HUGE THANK YOU to the incredible staff at the Bemidji @tacobell for letting us do this! Especially the manager, who even got in a pic! Worth the $175 plus Hunter’s spilled Baja😬
And no they didn’t get busted for it🚔👮‍♂️it was an unrelated call😂…but that awesome BPD officer was GREAT with the players! He smiled but they all told him he had to look tough!

My Jacks: you may be 0-4, but I never give up on my boys. Warriors at 4-0 think tonight is an easy win, but I know what you’re capable of and how much you want it. And I’ll be there jacked up with 5 hr energy in my BajaBlast!
BRING HOME THE BELL!!!! 💙🔔💙

SENIOR NIGHT TONIGHT! AND HOME OPENER! (Last post today lol)

I’d have to look back, but I think this is the biggest MMP class of seniors of my career! Tonight, there will be 40 players, cheerleaders, and manager being honored as seniors-THAT is 100% the biggest I’ve ever photographed!

But back to “my” boys. What a GREAT bunch of kids! Full of personality, grit, humor, determination, and a never quit attitude when it comes to football.

I book the Chet for a whole day and stack my seniors, and this year we did some more fun after the on-field photos. Part is a surprise yet (DING) in addition to the mini-media day session at Circle K and my Camaro. The boys were a hoot! One of the moms commented that “Misty, holy crap, that was like 10 hours of shooting!!”

Yup. And I love it. Sure, I photograph games, but at my core, I’m a senior photographer who loves to highlight the best in these kids. I can’t choose a favorite, but two do tug at my heartstrings.

First, Logan with his doggo. Seriously...his dog got down into position for the play with his best boy!!

Second, the twins. Jude and Reagan Nyhusmoen. Not only is it tough watching your football player senior walk off the field the last game, double that, and oh.my.heart for their mama Abbey!!

Boys, let your mama and your daddy or grandpa/grandma/auntie/brother, whoever walks you across that field tonight, CLING to you one last time. To them, your pads are still too big, they are still tying your shoes, and still wiping mud off your face.

You’re still 7 years old in their eyes. Sniffle.

CAPTAINS!
SENIORS!
ROMEO!

Hi. Me again. Yup, it’s like a holiday, the first FNL at home for football season!

First up, your CAPTAINS!! Huge congrats to Owen, Nemo, Jude, and Logan! 🙌💙🏈

In true leadership fashion, the captains welcomed FES from Italy, Romeo! He’s a GREAT guy, if you haven’t met him yet you should! 🇺🇸

And the second biggest senior class for banner day of my career, your #classof2027 Bemidji Lumberjacks!!💙🏈💙 (I can’t tag you all with the 20 limit, so I’m only tagging my seniors so no one feels left out)

GOOD LUCK TONIGHT!

HOME OPENER TONIGHT!!!

Good luck to the Jacks, but especially my MMP boys, the most senior football players I’ve ever had in one season. This shoot was a freaking BLAST!! They wanted Lizzy (my Camaro) in it, so I shined her up.
(Logan, Alex and Jerry you were very much missed!!)

HUNTER | 2027 | BEMIDJI

This one is Hunter’s official sneak peek-he was the Lightning senior!

Hunter is quite the character, and I absolutely LOVED working with him. I photographed his twin sisters a few years ago, so I already knew I adored this family.
Hunter is an athlete, and strong, but he is also an extremely fun personality. Goofy, funny, respectful and sweet to his mama, he can go from punching a bag to hilarious antics on the mat in seconds! You see that come through on the dock photo. :)
Hunter’s beloved dog, Kona, is a chocolate lab, so of course I cried, as I still miss my boy Skol terribly. Seeing “a boy and his dog”, through my tears, reminded me why it is so important to include dogs/pets with my seniors. They are like siblings. :)

People who know the Nelson family and have been to their lake know the very famous person nearby, and although I hoped for an opportunity to meet that person, we were instead locked on the island during that huge storm! As we hunkered down to wait it out, Hunter got hungry-so why not make some Mac-n-cheese, right? He makes it ALL the time, so I documented it all, plus fun photos inside their cabin, and seeing him embracing it all with such a great attitude initiated this comment from me:
“Hunter, I’d much rather be riding out this storm here with you, your mom, Kona, and Avery than meet *famous person*!”
And I meant it.

What a once in a lifetime experience with Jennifer & Hunter! I soooooo love my job!!
