Senior Sunday 🤍
18 short months apart, which for the record, IS a lot like twins. Especially when they look and act more alike than our actual twins.

Despite battling a couple injuries, Hunt had a great spring & summer. He’s decided to go all in on baseball and get his body healthy. Can’t wait to see how he develops these next couple years. #jenkstrojanbaseball #okfuelbaseball

It all started on a really down day in a Hoover, Alabama Whataburger last July…

In the slumpiest of slumps, on a 2 week trip away from home, Hunt ran into some boys from back home. That chance meeting kicked off the beginning of something great. From tryouts, to off season workouts in Edmond, Hunt found his people. 🧡💙

Starting the season with surgery on 6/4 set him back a bit, but by the end he was able to contribute playing back to back weeks in Ft. Myers, OKC, and KC.

I just can’t really say enough about the experience we had this season: playing time and opportunities to develop were generous, families welcomed us, so much fun was had, and I’m genuinely sad it’s over.

I love living in the Baseball Bubble - I haven’t thought about what I’m cooking dinner or laundry (except which uniform to wash) in days. Reality is going to be harsh 😂 ANNNND back to work to save up to do it all over again next season.

I think everyone already knows how much our family loves The Game. ⚾️

We just wrapped up our first season of school ball with a short run in the State Tournament that ended in the quarterfinals. That’s extremely insignificant to everything else that we got to experience this season. The coaches, development, parents, and memories will stay with us forever! My takeaways:

🤍 The Freshman Class
The best moms ever. What a privilege to spend the season watching our kids develop together on White & Maroon. The potential and fun we are about to have the next 3 years makes me so excited for next year. What a special group!

🤍 The Upperclassmen: Moms and kids took us all under their wings. They were welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging. The standards set for us are high and we are so grateful for the road paved before us. Never once did the kids or parents make us feel anything but welcome.

We are so proud to be a part of Jenks Baseball and cannot wait to see what the future holds. Big things ahead for this group 🤍

Next up, travel season…

We’ve been football aunts for the better part of 10 years and I feel like this season might be my favorite to date. It’s not lost on us what a privilege it is to be able to show up for and support these kids and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. We’ve watched each of our 4 who play battle through countless hours of practice and film, put in the work physically and mentally and all come out stronger and better on the other side.

Cade built up his strength and thrived on varsity and his ability to read and follow the ball is so much fun to watch. Caden has gained so much confidence on and off the field and gets to be on the field as the Sandites battle in their first state championship game in a decade. Hunter came back from ACL repair and a year off football stronger than ever. And Bubba continued to dominate on the field, helping secure their 3rd championship win in a row. Proud is an understatement.
