Tenderness in your eyes since day one. Fierceness in the man you are becoming. Every hurdle you’ve faced has only built your incredible heart. No words can capture it, and the universe itself cannot contain my love for you. Happy 16th, Hunter.

Zach St. Amand’s son caught this beautiful Farmington River brown trout yesterday. New River Report is up, click the website link on our Bio page. Two pieces of good news: 1) after the heavy rain earlier this week flows are back down and cleared up, and 2) Trico’s are hatching in the mornings, at least as far upstream as the Campground already. The main event during the morning Trico hatches is the spinner fall, which is triggered by air temps of approximately 68°. Trico’s average a size 24. The water is still coming out of the dam nice & cold in the 40s, but it does warm as you go downstream, and the Still River is contributing some warm water right now, so use a thermometer to keep an eye on water temps. In the mornings, you’re generally fine as far downstream as New Hartford and maybe even Canton, but typically in the afternoons you’re going to have to move upstream to stay in cold water. Look for water under 68°, and preferably 65° or less. -Torrey.

This week was unbelievable. The ski community is incredible, and watching this kid fly was just beyond words. I'm so grateful we could be here.

Nationals. Days 1-3. Treasuring moments. Gathering water. So grateful for this time and this place together with my incredible kid.

It’s official: Hunter is headed to NATIONALS! 🇺🇸

From a little toddler in red on the snowbanks to a fierce competitor ready to take on the national stage, this kid has shown what pure determination looks like. The grit and persistence he’s shown—especially in the last 6 months is something I will never forget.

It’s going to be a trip of a lifetime. We head to Colorado in just under 2 weeks . So proud of you, Hunter. No matter what happens, it is going to be a blast just to be there! Let’s freaking go! 💯❄️💪

I see in him the same fire that a certain teenage girl I know had at his age. His mountain is my studio. I just get it.
A few decades later and I've toured across the planet making dances which is exactly what I dreamed of doing when I was 15. Whatever he (And his brother) want to do in this life, I will always be there cheering them on. Dream big, work your ass off, and don't let anybody tell you that can't accomplish anything you set your mind and heart to.

My sister wrote the entire family nearly a year ago and said "hey! I'm headed to St. Thomas to celebrate my 50th birthday in July! No pressure and no stress but if anybody feels like joining us, feel free to come along!" Fast forward a few months and nearly 30 members of our family came to celebrate her, and to honor and be close to my mom (St. Thomas was her favorite place in the world). It was a beautiful trip with so many memories made. No family is perfect. But my family is perfect for me. Happy birthday to my beautiful sister. And Mom, I felt so much closer to you than I thought was possible.
This was Mom's favorite song, and it was played a few times on the trip.
