One of the coolest parts of sharing my journey through endurance sports has been the opportunity to connect with companies and people who share that same passion for performance, hard work, and constantly getting better.

I’m intentional about what I put into my body, especially with the amount of training that goes into preparing for an Ironman.

A week filled with big improvements and intentional training. ⚡️

The work is starting to show, and the progress is becoming undeniable.

🏃‍♂️ RUN: Seeing some of the biggest improvements yet. Holding low 6:00–6:10 paces is starting to feel easier and more controlled than ever.

🏊‍♂️ SWIM: Getting stronger, technique is improving, and efficiency in the water continues to get better.

🚴‍♂️ BIKE: Legs are stronger than they’ve ever been. The power, endurance, and confidence keep building.

A couple takeaways from this week:

1. HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?

It’s easy to show up when everything goes according to plan. But what happens when things don’t?

My Wahoo broke before my long ride. I could’ve called it a day, made an excuse, and moved on. Instead, I took it apart, figured out the problem, fixed it, and got the work done.

Things aren’t always going to go your way. Equipment breaks. Plans change. Life gets in the way.

The question is, how bad do you actually want it?

2. TRUST THE PROCESS.

Triathlon is a sport of patience. You don’t become a better athlete overnight, and you can’t rush the adaptations.

Every swim, every ride, every run has a purpose.

Some sessions build fitness. Some build confidence. Others build discipline.

Trust each session. Stay consistent. Keep stacking the work.

Eventually, the progress you couldn’t see becomes impossible to ignore.

Another successful week in the books. Still hungry. Still learning. Still a long way to go.

A little longer of a video today, but some valuable information for anyone training for endurance events. 🤝

150G OF CARBS AN HOUR. OVERKILL OR OPTIMAL? 👀

You can have the strongest engine in the world, but if you don’t fuel it, eventually you’re going to run out of gas.

Saturday’s long ride fueling strategy:

⚡ 3 HR 20 MIN on the bike
⚡ 4 scoops RAW Fuel per bottle — 100g carbs
⚡ 2 gels per hour — 50g carbs
⚡ 150g carbohydrates per hour

Here’s the thing. You train your legs, lungs, and heart to handle the demands of endurance racing. Your gut needs training too.

150g/hr isn’t where you start. It’s a high intake that requires practice, tolerance, and a strategy built around your individual needs.

Don’t wait until race day to figure out your nutrition.

TRAIN THE ENGINE. FUEL THE ENGINE.

PURPOSE OVER COMFORT.

3 SESSIONS. 1 PURPOSE. 🏊🚴🏃

Not every workout needs to be an all-out effort.

Today’s training had three different objectives:

🏊 Fartlek Swim — Developing speed, changing pace, and adapting to different intensities.

🚴 75-Minute Endurance Ride — Building aerobic capacity and efficiency.

🏃 40-Minute Run — Developing endurance and accumulating time on the feet.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in endurance training is that more intensity doesn’t always mean more progress.

Train with intention. Understand the purpose behind the work.

The goal isn’t to win every workout. It’s to keep showing up, improving, and building toward something bigger.

Back in May, I signed up for the San Antonio Half Marathon on a total whim.
Me? 13.1 miles??
Babe, I wasn’t even sure I could survive a 5K. 😅

I laced up, locked in, and showed up, even on the mornings my bed was begging me to stay. 🛏️➡️👟 And somewhere between the blisters and the sunrise miles, I found the most incredible Athletes who turned into my running family. 💕

They cheered me on, dragged me through the hard days, and believed in me before I did.

Grateful Af for 12 miles this morning & for @huny keeping me fueled ⛽️ 🍯

At the end of the day, it was never about the views, the likes, or the followers.

It’s about showing someone what’s possible. Inspiring someone to take that first step. Reminding someone that they’re capable of more than they think.

My first ultra in the 200’s cut short due to bad weather! Moab 240 is one I have been wanting to run for years! Just being apart of this run meant so much to me and I’m grateful to have been standing at that start line! Before the race an elite runner said to me, “The 200’s are a big adventure, just go on the adventure!” So that’s exactly what I did and it was an adventure alright! I learned alot out there this past weekend and can’t wait to run some more 200’s in the near future! Let’s work!
