I love watching chickens and learn a lot from them 🐣

They live simple lives and are chipper for the sun, the air, some food, and space to spread their wings. They show me what it looks like to be light as a feather. 🪶

What makes you focus on the bright side of things (not to be confused with toxic positivity)?

I couldn’t believe it when I found this chicken coop on a walk through the busy streets of Brooklyn. But I had a great time feeding them. And you can too if you’re in the area!

(Definitely a surprise on my solo travels)

my six pound heritage chicken visiting with the @hustling_hens that live beside the prospect park shuttle in crown heights, all of whom are at least twice her size & completely unbothered by anything that has ever happened or will happen that's not food.

🎉ADOPTION MONDAY🎉

@sealien17 rescued gray GRACIE from a basement in Midwood. Remember May, June, or Anya? We think they could possibly be related to little Gracie as they all came from this spot where efforts to TNR the population are ongoing. Gracie is a firecracker 🧨 who needed a playmate, and we are happy to report that she found the purrfect one in another GHPA graduate, Louie (remember him? We called him Rocky when he came to us from @acc_new_hope)! Swipe ⬅️ to see them playing together in their #fureverhome! 💞

Adorable AMELIA RUBY LEE was found dirty & hungry on the street. After receiving essential vet care, she came to our Adoption Room where she charmed humans and cats alike before meeting her furever purrson (who is also a former adopter!!) 💘

Cutie pie BADGER stole all of our hearts. He rescued himself by walking himself right into @hustling_hens’ humans’ house! While it might’ve been his dream to live alongside chickens 🐓 we think he’s much better off in his furever home with a couple of cute kids to play with! 💗

Congratulations to these cuties and their people! 👏 And many thanks to everyone who had a hand in these success stories. ICYMI, it was National Nonprofit Day! We so appreciate your donations as they make these #happytails possible! Link in bio to chip in if you’re so inclined ⬆️ Thank you!
