Early morning, before the day gets loud.
This little blue bench has been sitting here all summer with the hydrangeas. I walk past it ten times a day and I still stop.
Now I’m at that early September question — do I keep it this soft blue or paint it white for fall?
It matches the hydrangeas now, but white feels like linen, quiet, winter-ready. Blue feels like... sitting a while longer.
Help me decide — keep the bench blue or paint it white?
What does blue feel like to you vs white?

Some flowers don’t need vivid colors to leave a lasting impression.

Hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla) are remarkable for their ability to change color depending on the soil’s pH—one of nature’s most fascinating adaptations. Even in the warmth of midsummer, they continue to bloom generously, bringing softness and texture to gardens when many other flowers have already reached their peak.

Summer isn’t only found in bright sunshine. Sometimes, it lives in quiet details like these.

Happy Summer Sundays include lots of Happy Hydrangea shots ✨🌸🤍

Here’s to Cape Cods classic flower The Hydrangea. I’ll forever be photographing flowers, especially a good hydrangea since everyone has a different hue. You can find me stopping at all the flowers and doing a little run to catching up after! 🤗

Jonanne of Creative Cosmetics CC was honored to attend Hydrangea Gallery & Gifts’ Endless Summer Soirée at The West End in Hyannis.

It was a beautiful evening filled with community, connection, and celebration featuring the incredible Bart Weisman Smooth Jazz Group, delicious hors d’oeuvres and sumptuous bites, wine and beer, and the Hydrangea Gallery Signature Cocktail.

Thank you to Hydrangea Gallery & Gifts for hosting such a lovely event and bringing together so many wonderful people. We always appreciate opportunities to connect with our community and celebrate local businesses.

A custom hand painted tile mural of hydrangeas
was on the wish list for this coastal home on cape cod.
The tiles were painted with glaze and fired in my kiln several tiles.
