Did my favourite thing in the world today another drum play thru @the_drum_hq thanks to the ledge @b_ry_mac CEO thank you soooooooooo much for the HQ. Cymbal endorsement as played here today sound ridiculous I chose a local song mega props goes to @jeff.lovejoy.77 for production and @sabrinalawrie for writing such a moving song and a well rounded producer in her own right I purposely didn’t practise this one at all wanted it to be fresh delivery from the soul 1 take what you get is what you given amazing feeling when you actually pull it off thanks for given me the opportunity to do this and play such a amazing song cheers

Happy my dude @inkswel made it safely from Adelaide, South AUS in this kinduva ✈️ era sheesh...
He does these 1 week forays that have him touring the USA Feb 5-9 LA to Miami to Boulder to SF back to LA which kinda reminds me of our 1st A-Team tours of Oz that found us going from Sydney to Brisbane to Melbourne to Adelaide back to NSW and brutally by mini van at that... Makes my legs ache just reminiscing on it, so at least he gets to fly. Moreover, this man has a wife and kids back home and is a full time musician so I'm rather impressed motivated and rejuvenated by a dope colleague willing to work this hard to chase what we claim we want outta this life of music and entertainment. I know that he wants it and is a bonafide DJ/Producer who on his last visit was billed at Dublab, MOM LA and Boombox LA - a triple threat booking feat that many well known LA cats can not say they have been fortunate to do the same trifecta yet. So being that we have some new joints together out now and he's rockin LA twice again, was only right to join him for his return to LA for his 2nd of 3 gigs here tomorrow night Wed Feb 5th at @generalleesla in Chinatown. He's promoting his new neo soul house fusion release, but I'll also hop up and perform "Downtown Love ft. Abstract Rude" by Inkswel and @andreespeutmusic #nowplaying (stream link to song in bio).

Final Track No. 10 of 10 on #makingindietraxx #muddyrivers by #abstractrude is "SkyFall (2010 Resin Dogs Mix)" produced by @davedoggatkins during our @resindogs days touring around AUS and the UK. The Roy Ayers Ubiquity meets Stand By Me inspired song features a melodic verse by J Natural who was down with Project Blowed via our Female Perspective mixtape back then. I was meant to lay a 3rd verse but somehow we never got around to it or we lost the files or something like that, but this ref mix survived the 15 year stretch. I first toured Australia with A-Team in spring of 1999, recorded "Set It Off" aka "Top Of The Stairs" with @deejaykatch which became a 2Dogs 12" and then a @bluntedstylus classic Remix of it was released on Virgin Records by 2002, which prompted my return. From there through about 2019 we continued to make many jams together, even won a couple awards over in AUS and I've appeared on every RD album they've released since. So anyways this is one of many lost songs that we had laying around the vaults, with actually a forthcoming encore installment lined up in this Traxx series called Making Aussie Traxx so stay tuned. Shows 🎥 footy of crazy sky is falling type weather scenes juxtaposed with picturesque landscapes.

A while ago I got to play in this unreal band with these amazing peops and others was the best fun EVER we even went to the USA for a music conference and a few weeks back I mentioned to Kel would you be up for doing those songs live again and yes !!!!! So I got as much as possible together with some tunes that Kel and I have written and decided to do a cheeky little gig next Friday at Can you keep a secret in woolongabba I’ll be DJing my beats and having a little reminiscing over some dope as funk tunes and good times we had come for a drink or a listen it’s FREE !!!!!!! And a beautiful little venue honestly can’t wait to play this tunes again hell yeah !?????!!!!!!! Anyone down ???????

The 11th Annual Year In Review for One Stop Hip Hop recapping 2024 with Me, Myself and I on the mic comes to a conclusion tonight as I go over the Albums, Mixtapes & EP's of '24 with my personal selections and must listens if you've been sleeping! Although a little late 2024 was a rather large year for local releases with all sorts coming out the woodwork, new and old, artists fresh outta school and some shaking off the dust, it's been wonderful watching and sharing the music back with you all and I'm excited to recap releases from SKELS & LEAH, @gxhseason or maybe 7'6 & Eloquor, @misskaninna , Harv87, @anesuafrica , Phil Gektor, @ziggyramo , groups like 3%, Downsyde & Cool Out Sun, production releases via @beathedzrecords , Benny Zenn, @trebwon & Dave Atkins, we got these drops and more all on lock ready for ya speakers.

I'm already working on some wild thoughts and ideas for 2025 so if you got gigs coming up and want them recorded for future playback and to bring something fresh to the airwaves, keen for some radio cyphers or freestyles over classic local beats or you got some local Australia based hip hop & rap releases, new or old, physical or digital, this era or the last, get in my DM's, lets connect and cook!
