New England Card House is BACK at the DoubleTree Hilton in Danvers on October 25th with a scary fun Pokémon card party! Join us for the second annual Card House costume contest and compete for prizes including some cold hard Card House cash you can spend at the show 💸 We’re also going to be giving away the second half of our Halloween custom card while supplies last so come on down and complete your set! 🎃 With 90 tables of Pokémon TCG, games, toys, plushies, and art, plus a dedicated team of passionate vendors, Card House has everything you need to power up your collection! Grab a coffee at the hotel Starbucks and browse a huge selection of Pokémon items. Parking is always FREE at the hotel for attendees of the show so take your time and make sure you hit every table for all the best deals! This weekend, ShinyCon held our October MEGA show and annual costume contest. All we can say is WOW. The creativity and passion displayed is something that’s hard to put into words. So many unique ideas,thoughts and art that were brought to life in ways only our community is capable of. So many of these were handmade. It was truly so cool to see! It came down to a difference of TWO votes between first and second place, and only THREE votes between first and third place. Just shows what we said to be true! With that, our winner: The Psychic Witch! A hand made witch costume crafted ENTIRELY out of psychic type Pokémon cards. WOW! They’ll be taking home an Ascended Heroes Pokémon Center ETB! Thank you to ALL of our contestants, our guests and our vendor judges. This kind of fun can’t happen without you! We’re running it all back ON HALLOWEEN for another costume contest at our Nashua show on 10.31. You’ll all get another chance to partake in the fun 😉 We love you guys and we’ll see you soon! You LOVE to see an amazing person get EXACTLY what they deserve! ⚡️ Cam’s favorite Psyduck came to us with multiple dents, lifts on three corners, and some seriously wonky texture on the back. Before restoration, I would’ve pegged this card at a PSA 4. After putting in the work, we managed to bring it back and secure a PSA 6! Notice the notes say nothing about the lifts or dents 😉. With the vintage market booming, every single grade increase matters. And when the difference between grades can mean serious money, you want the right hands on your cards. You know who to call. ⚔️

ShinyCon Pokémon Card Show and our annual Costume Contest are BACK at @danversindoor on October 17th from 10-4pm! Our sponsors @mewtwoshoes @retroberry_tradeshop & @hydrolaxtcg have come together to donate an absolute BANGER of a grand prize for the winner! Card show costume contest functions like this: 👻 10 of our vendors have been selected to be “judges”. These vendors will be scoping the crowd and will each select a costume that they LOVE. They’ll be especially looking out for both Pokémon based costumes, and handmade costumes! 👻 They’ll ask that guest if they want to enter the contest. Upon receiving a “Yes”, the vendor will take either the guest’s phone number or Instagram account, & a picture with the guest in their costume. This info will ONLY be used to contact the winner, with the picture used for voting! 👻 The 10 costumes chosen will then be submitted to the rest of our vendor team for voting 👻 The guest with costume that receives the most votes will then receive a POKÉMON CENTER Ascended Heroes ETB, completely free! It’s one of many ways ShinyCon tried to provide a fun atmosphere while we all engage in collecting.
